
Often times people keep ablution, when they realize the benefits of being in control of anger, fear, desires, sorrow.
Prophet Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) didn ‘t only recommend us to keep wudhu to protect us from something bad, but he (pbuh) also recommended it for husband when they would want to repeat their qurbat (intercourse) with their wife, because wudhu also rejuvenates. On one side ablution tames unwanted desires/feelings, on the other side, when you want to have qurbat with your spouse it rejuvenates us. And it is the same action. Prophet Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said that I will recognize my true followers on the Day of Judgement, by their traces of ablution. Islam wants the believer to be pure, and wudhu is the «weapon» that helps us abstain from impurities and anything that is difficult for the feelings, as the same as
Islam’s solutions ( in this case ablution) keeps us energized, so we can have baraqah in those blessings that Allah has allowed for us. Simple answers for those who seek.
