you-need-allahIt is somewhat tragical funny that sometimes people laugh of adults who behave childish. A dai once said: if you ask 10 women with the same clothing to sit the same place, and ask a 2-year-old who his/her mother is, the child will find her. We know how much a child loves his mother. His/her mother is everything for the child. Our Maker, our Creator, our Lord, our God Allah, loves us more than 70 mothers. I must say, people invite us to believe in who they think is our god. Aren’t we behaving like child, when in all these different religions, gods people believe in, we are not able to find our true God. How can we say that we are intellectuals, masters/bachelors degree, when we don’t know our true purpose, or who made us come to this world. See the signs. Believe in the signs. Comprehend, where is all this from? A person whom haven’t yet realized who his/her true Creator is, is worse than a little child, who understands his life. I must say, how tragically childish, indeed.

My Knowledge Of Advance Mathematics

I`ve had lectures in university. I have a master degree from their in fla fla subject etc. I can easily within minutes solve this difficult equation on this and that advanced level etc. The fla fla we are using as an example here, have probably spent over 20-25 years of his/her life to gain this knowledge. To spend rest of his/her life using this knowledge for further development in his/her success. For a worldly gain, we sacrifice this much time throughout our life. A gain that might, if Allah wills, last a 100 years, if we live that long. But yet when there comes to the gain of the afterlife, where we will live forever, for eternity. Allah knows how long one day will be, or one month. Maybe the time will be different from how time is in the world. Allah has said that the day of judgement will be like 50 years for a disbeliever and like the time between asr and maghrib for a believer. From this we can assume that time will be counted differently in our hereafter, based on our belief in this world. Are we really an intelligent person, when we can`t calculate how to work for a good eternity. FIrst, understand it, and most of all, also live to gain it. How can we not see, how important it is to have this worry, for how our souls life will be, after our death. Our body might live for a 100 years, but our souls life is for eternity. Shouldn`t it be a priority in our life to find out how we can make our eternal abode, a blessed place?

A 8 month old child. When his/her diaper gets filled with poop and urine. At once he/she starts to cry. The child’s mother will hear the voice and come to the child. Since the child is unable to communicate what is wrong, she will check 5 matters:
1. Is he/she hungry?
2. Must his /her diaper get changed?
3. Is he/she hurting somewhere?
4. Is he /she cold / warm somewhere?
5. Is he/she wet somewhere

The Child Is More Intelligent Than The Parent

After finding out that the diaper needed to be changed. The mother will do that. Just as she has finished changing the diaper, she will see the mood change of the child. The child will start, laughing, smiling or just stop crying. If none of the other points also are disturbing the child. An 8 month old child, feels uneasy, when he/she is un-clean. It dislikes it, and shows negative emotions. I dare say, this child under 1 year is more intelligent than most people nowadays. I mean like, when we talk about average people. It is very few who cleans their private parts thoroughly after going to the toilet. Most people only use toilet paper. Many goes around for years, with the bacteria of urine and stools on their private parts. I don`t know, how they can think that when they have taken a shower, they smell good, so they are clean. They think that smelling good is equal to clean. When in fact, they are not clean, and have been unclean for years. The little child of 8 months, is feeling un-easy when his diaper is dirty. The child has understood cleanliness, better than his parents.

An adults Understanding

An adult doesn`t understand that him/her being un-clean after being to the toilet, will have an impact on him/her feelings/mood/conduct etc as long as he/she doesn`t do anything about it. Many non-muslims could have been living like this for years. In Islam, keeping yourself clean is half of your faith. A practising muslim, will make wudu at least 5 times a day. Or maybe keep it all day. Most muslims are aware over that what you eat and your cleanliness, has an impact over how you will behave. In other words, if we eat something, un-clean/haram like some meat from pig, and when they on top of this doesn`t clean themselves. This will have a bad effect on their heart, spirituality and their conduct and character. How can we claim that we are intelligent because of our master / bachelor degrees, when we don`t understand the importance of clean food and clean body. In addition, muslims doesn`t limit their cleanliness to the body, we also talk about the cleanliness of the heart, and the soul. The cleanliness of the heart, is to keep our heart free from diseases like, envy, jealousy, bad-ghomani, chugli, arrogance, not being able to stop oneself from committing sins, and not stopping others from committing sins. When we keep our heart at a good state, working to get rid of the diseases, we also are able to develop/improve our spirituality and the quality of our ibaadah and deeds in our life. it is mustahab for a person to do ghusl at least one time a week, fridays. When we do ghusl, a spiritual bath, we clean our soul. It is obligatory for a muslim to keep his heart, body and soul clean. Someone who strives for this and succeeds will be a good muslim, in sha Allah. It is truly very sad to see people un-aware of the real issues about cleanliness. Wrong prorities in life and busy schedule has made them neglect it. Awareness is half done. If those who practice these sunnah`s try to talk about it, in a gentle manner, maybe we are able to help people understand, why and how it can help them and improve the quality and reward of their deeds. May Allah make it easy for us. Aameen.

I Cry In My Heart

When some people make jokes about some adults being childish. It hurts. How wrong they are. If we only could help non-muslims and non-practising muslims understand, that behaving childish in some situation is not the definition of immature. A person whom can`t find his/her way to his Creator, is a child. In other words, those who doesn`t know their Creator, or live by his commandments are children. And truly matureness comes with believing and practising the true religion. Because than you will make good decisions for your life and hereafter. A definition of an adult can be one who knows how to live a good life, make good choices in life, on his/her own. Having knowledge of something is almost half of doing it. We can try to not only focus on knowledge of the brain, but focus on knowledge of the heart. A heart will not accept good information unless it is a good and sound heart. That is why we do dhikr. To purify the heart. It`s not a once in a year quest. To achieve a pure heart, we need to do dhikr every day. There is no elevator to success. We have to take the stairs, one step at a time. In dhikr mehfil we learn that educating the head without educating the heart is not education at all. We can only find our true purpose, when we try to correct our heart. It is not enough to have knowledge. Only by practising = wisdom, of the knowledge we have, can we say with deeds, not only words, that yes, we truly do believe in the good effects of cleanliness. May Allah make it easy for us to understand. Aameen.

When we become sad it’s mostly because we don’t take out time everyday to practice gratefulness. When we focus on what we don’t have rather than what we have, we become depressed or sad.

Make A List

To be aware of how blessed we are, we can start writing a list on 30 matters we are grateful for, with the reason for you being grateful at every point. I promise you, if we do this every time we feel sad, it will change our mood to contentment, when we re-read the list after we’re done.

What do we take for granted?

That we are healthy. We have fresh air to breath. We have a home. We have security. We have freedom to practice our religion. We are educating ourselves. We have people around us that cares for us. Allah made us muslims. We believe in Allah. He loves us. We pray to Him. He relieves us from our difficulties and distress. We have vehicles that are easily available when we want to go somewhere. The list goes on.

Alhamdolillah

As our paycheck is raised so does the quality of our wants increase. If we would always think about what we want, nothing will ever be good enough. iPhone started off with iPhone 3. Now it has been improved to a iPhone 6. In a few months a better version will be sold. The development of the society won’t stop. It’s a never-ending race.

Things Doesn’t Matter

When we take time to remember what we are blessed with and why. The things won’t matter. But the people and the moments we spend with our loved ones, will make us feel cherished and loved.

outward, inward, tazkiya, soul, dhikr, tawbah, ghusl, wudhu, sheikh mohammed yaqoubiIt is not un-common in the days we are living in that people are affected negatively by their community. I have noticed this from when I was younger, though the materialistic values have increased. Often children are more obsessed about what they own so they can brag to their friends, and be of those whom are admired. Is the fact that someone has something a reason to admire that person? It depends, if we are talking a pure heart, good conduct, righteous friends, good company, good values, than I won`t disagree at all. Unfortunately what people rather admire is the fancy house, new cars, new fancy clothing, numbers of followers or friends etc. When in fact these things doesn`t say anything about the person’s real treasure.

It Is Not illegal To Be Rich

People are competing in a race where there is no goal. The development of technology in the world is increasing so rapidly that even if you have a Ipad 5 today, in a few months 7 or 8 will be out in the shops. We can`t keep up with this race without losing what is really important; our values. What is important is not how big your house or car is, but rather your values as a person and how close you are to Allah. It`s not illegal to be rich, but with it comes a lot of responsibility. In fact, the people whom have the most money will be the people whom will be questioned about where they used it. Alhamdolillah, tabarakAllah, my point is not that we sell everything we own, to live a simple life. It is mear to point out that just because you are rich, doesn`t mean that you can`t have the right values. In other words, focus on what is important, your values, your character and conduct. Your life and your hereafter.

Compete In Cultivating Right Values

Instead of competing in number of kids and size of house and number of cars, compete in cultivate the right values in your children and family, so that no matter how much you are blessed you will always remember the sacrifices our previous predessors made for us to be where we are now.  Not only that, but your family will appreciate the blessings more when they realize that it could have been given to others. When in fact they know the suffering of children around the globe. They would most probably like some children, join other friends and collect money for them, with what they can do. By selling lemonade and mum-made cakes, early in their life they will realize what is important. Everyone has a right to have a good life and food and water and home and security. Though because the worlds treasures are not equally divided between people, some have more than others. It doesn`t necessarily mean that they deserve what they get. They are being tested by Allah for what they are doing with what they have. At the same time it will keep our feet on the ground, when we realize that all of this is not given for our joy. The test of ease and the test of difficulty. Some people are tested by given a gift, others are tested by witholding a gift from them. Allah knows how much patience people without the basics in life, has to go through, of troubles that might be the reason why they will go to Paradise, years before the rich muslims. Abu Bakr Siddiq raa gave away everything he owned before he died. He didn`t even leave anything for his children, just to be amongst those people that will be entitled to go to Paradise first. SubhanAllah what a determination.

The Inside The Same As The Outside

In the time of Islam and the years after, people were more worried about the qualities in them that were not seen on the outside, their clothing and what they own. Nowadays people are more worried about if their clothing is matching their shoes or hijab, or for men if they have the right amount of beard, with the right new trendy clothing. Gotta look smart. If we put just as much effort in cleaning our souls, and our hearts, as we do in keeping ourself looking awesome, than maybe our inner and outer self would be the same. If we won`t do that than it might happen that our outer self looks better than our inner self. For people with the right values, their goal is that their inner self is better than the outer self or at least just as good. To keep their sincerity and intention correct they do as much they can in secrecy, to avoid show-off in their deeds. Whereas most of us are those who share the smallest achievement in regards of ibaadah, when in fact a simple evil-eye-affect can reverse it for us.

It Is A Worldwide Muslim Issue

I see people being consumed in things that aren`t good for their hereafter, and I feel so helpless because I don`t know what to do or how to help them. I`m no expert and not even close to what experts in this field could help us with. All I know is that mosques need to talk about so many topics in their gatherings with sisters and brothers and youth that needs to be dealt with asap. Or else we are in hands of our own destruction. This is a worldwide problem everywhere were there are muslims. May Allah preserve us and help us and guide us and give us a heart that accepts guidance. Aameen summae aameen.

photo, develop, negatives, quote, lifeThe good and bad qualities that are in the generation of parents doesn`t automatically pass on to the next generation. It depends on the way we nurture good behaviour in our children, that matters. Sometimes we fail sometimes we succeed, Allah`s help is necessary.

Age is no obstacle

Just because we didn`t get a fully islamic upbringing, doesn`t mean we can`t do that for our next generation. It depends on what values we have in us right now. We might have come to Islam as adults, but people who are far more elder than us has completed a lot more tasks for Islam. They didn`t let that stop them. We want the best for our generations of children. Just because we didn`t pray that much when we were younger, if we have come back to Islam, we would want the best for the next generation and wan`t to instill in them these qualities as early as possible.

Just because my father smoked cigarettes

Just because your father smoked cigarettes doesn`t automatically mean that you will also fall into the same. If your father did smoke and his health is deteriorating because of it, he wouldn`t want the same to happen to his son. So when he gives you guidance to prevent you from doing it, it is because he knows what it does to you. Often people who have had a un-islamic lifestyle and Allah guides them to Islam, are the best people to give naseeha, because they know how it is to grow up in the “hood”. We can`t throw back comments to them that you yourself didn`t manage to prevent yourself from it, so why should we. You should rather listen to the wisdom they have gained from quitting it. They know the inside story, you might not. Listen to them with an open heart.

If every generations had to start from scratch

People increase in experience by making mistakes. When we have learned from the mistakes that gave us some experience we would like to instill those values in our children from an early age so that they don`t fall into the same traps as we did. If every generation had to invent cars every time they need a vehicle, just because they want to do everything on their own, we might not have had any planes now. If every generation use the experience the generations before has gathered, we will develop that into something better as time passes. Every generation doesn`t have to start from scratch. We can try to build our life on others experience so that we can prosper and succeed as time passes. May Allah help us. Ameen

deen, dunya 1It`s important that we don`t forget where we came from. Often you see people having nice cars or clothes and they are like in heaven 9 because it. That is a good thing and a bad thing. If you can afford it, yes buy the things you need, but there is no need to be extravagant. Don`t overdo it. That rule should be applied in every aspect of our life.

Sometimes you know people achieve a lot of success. Like new car, great job, beautiful wife/husband etc. If we don`t use these things to make our akhirah better, they are of no use. For instance, you use that nice car and go to mosques nearby and far away, to join the salah and other of their activities. The same car can also be used to go clubbing at parties. You have this great job, where you are making a difference by helping people in need. Or it could cause you to work that you forget the salah in the day. You may have a beautiful wife/husband that may treat you like a treasure, but are they making you come closer to Allah or making you skip the salah and other important obligations you have as a muslim/muslimah. Your spouse can be your ticket to hell or jannah. It`s in your own hands. Are you making choice that bring you closer to Paradise, or are you too much occupied in this world. We are not going to be here forever. Are you going to choose deen over dunya or dunya over deen? What you choose today, is going to affect the rest of your life, and maybe eternity. Be wise ❤ ❤

Some people think that the world has had so much progress. We are living in the 21 century and have the newest technologies. Different countries are so behind us in the west. Life is so much easier and better now than what it was before. What we see as a progress could also be regression. Just think. People living in asia or africa. They may not have and iPhone, iPad, Facebook, twitter or laptop, but they have each other. When we see these children they have the brightest smiles and are laughing and hugging each other. If you see the same age group in any country in the west, most of them are busy with their iPhone, Samsung and forget the most important stuff, just to talk together and be present in the moment.

deen, dunyaAnother point I would want to emphasize is what kind of society are we living in. Is it as advanced and good as we think it is? There is more cases of people who are depressed or suicidal and an increasing number of people with mental diseases. We have everything materialistic but not that much tranquility/sakina. Family structure has changed. Lesser joint family system. More people who live alone and are lonely. People are busy with their stuff and think that they have it all. If we look back in time when the Prophet pbuh lived he and the following generations of tabieen after him pbuh they experienced real contentment in their life. They didn`t own that much but were rich of heart. They had better manners than what we do nowadays. They had faith like a rock, nothing could move it, with firm believe in the afterlife. They maintained good relations with their relatives. Families lived together. They were people of great character. THEY had it all.

It all depends of the set of values that are important to you. What we see as development could actually be regression. To achieve those heights as the sahaba and tabieen we need to go back to our roots. We need to choose deen over dunya. Only then will we prosper in this world and the next. May Allah help us and guide us. Ameen summa ameen.

My Prayer..

“O Allah, place light in my heart, and on my tongue light, and in my ears light and in my sight light, and above me light, and below me light, and to my right light, and to my left light, and before me light and behind me light. Place in my soul light. Magnify for me light, and amplify for me light. Make for me light and make me a light. O Allah, grant me light, and place light in my nerves, and in my body light and in my blood light and in my hair light and in my skin light.” Ameen
