keep calm and do dhikrThe Angels Look For Gatherings Of remembrance Of Allah On The Earth 🙂 SubhanAllah!

The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) has said: ” Allah has some angels who look for those who celebrate the Praises of Allah on the roads and paths. And when they find some people celebrating the Praises of Allah, they call each other saying ; ” come to the object of your pursuit”.

He (pbuh) added ; ” then the angels encircle them with their wings up to the sky of the world”. He (pbuh) added :” after those people celebrated the Praises of Allah and the angels go back, their Lord ask them (those angels) though He knows better than them: “what do my slaves say? The angels reply; “they say SubhanAllah Allahu Akbar and Alhamdolillah”.

Allah then says ” did they see Me?”. The angels reply ” No, by Allah they did not see You”. Allah says ” how would it have been if they saw Me?”. The angels reply ” if they saw You they would worship you more devoutly and celebrate Your Glory more deeply and declare Your Freedom from any resemblance to anything more often”.

Allah says to the angels ” what do they ask Me for?”. The angels reply they ask you for Paradise”. Allah says to the angels ” did they see it? The angels say ” No, by Allah O Lord! They did not see it”. Allah says ” how would it have been if they saw it? The angels say ” if they saw it, they would have greater covetousness ( a strong desire to possess something) for it and would seek it with greater zeal and would have greater desire for it”.

Allah says ” From what do they seek refuge?”. The angels reply ” they seek refuge from the Hell-fire”. Allah says ” did they see it?”. The angels say ” No, by Allah O Lord! They did not see it”. Allah says “how would it have been if they saw it?”. The angels say ” if they saw it they would flee from it with the extreme fleeing and would have extreme fear from it”.

Then Allah says ” I make you witness that I have forgiven them”. Allah’s Apostle added ” one of the angels would say `there was so and so amongst them, and he was not one of them, but he had just come for some need`. Allah would say ” these are those people whose companions will not be reduced to misery”. ( i.e. he will be included amongst those who were rewarded). (Muslim, Sahih) SubhanAllah ❤ ❤

repent1It was narrated from Abu Hurayra raa that in a hadith Qudsi the Prophet (pbuh) said, quoting the Lord, the Sublime and Majestic: ” A man committed a sin and said: “O Lord, forgive me”. Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He, said: “My slave has committed a sin, but he knew that he has a Lord Who forgives sin, and calls people to account for sin.

Then he sinned again and said: ” O Lord, forgive me”. Allah Blessed and Exalted is He, said: ” My slave committed a sin, but he knew that he has a Lord Who forgives and calls people to account for sin”.

Then he sinned again and said: ” O Lord, forgive me”. Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He, said: ” My slave has committed a sin, but he knew that he has a Lord Who forgives sin, and calls people to account for sin. Do what you wish, for I have forgiven you”.

Abdul-A`la said: ” I do not know whether He said after the third or the fourth time: “Do what you wish”. (Muslim, Sahih) (6986) 29 – (2758).

two roadsIt was narrated from Abu Saeed Al-Khudri that the Prophet of Allah (pbuh) said: ” Among those who came before you there was a man who killed ninety-nine people, then he asked who the most knowledgable man on earth was, and he was directed to a monk. He went to him and told him that he had killed ninety-nine people; could he repent? The monk said no, so he killed him, thus completing one hundred.

Then he asked who the most knowledgable man on the earth was, and he was directed to man of knowledge, and said that he had killed one hundred people; could he repent? He said: “Yes, who could stand between him and repentance? Go to such and such a land, for therein there are people who worship Allah, so go and worship Allah with them, and do not go back to your own land for it is a bad land”.

So he set out, then when he was halfway there, death came upon him. The Angels of mercy and the Angels of torment disputed over him. The Angels of mercy said: ” He came repenting and turning wholeheartedly towards Allah”. The Angels of torment said: “He never did anything good”.

Then an Angel in form of a man came to them and they appointed him to decide between them. He said: “Measure the distance between two lands and whichever is closer, that is where he belongs. So they measured it and they found that he was closer to the land that he was heading for, so the Angels of mercy took him. (Muslim, Sahih).

a tree and shadeIt was narrated from Ibn Masud Ra that the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: ” The last one to enter Paradise will be a man who will walk once, stumble once and be burned by the Fire once. When he gets passed it, he will turn to it and say: “Blessed be the One Who has saved me from you. Allah has given me something that he has not given to the first and the last”.

A tree will be raised up for him and he will say: “O Lord, bring me closer to that tree so that I might find shelter in its shade and drink of its water”. Allah the Mighty and Sublime will say: ” O son of Adam As, perhaps if I gave you that, you will ask Me for something else”. He will say: ” No, O Lord”, and he will promise that he will not ask Him for anything else, and His Lord, the Most High, will excuse him because he has seen something that he cannot help wanting. So he will be brought near to it and he will take shelter in its shade and drink of its water.

Then another tree will be raised up for him that is more beautiful than the first, and he will say: ” O Lord, bring me closer to this tree so that I might drink of its water and take shelter in its shade, and I will not ask for anything else”. He (Allah) will say: ” O son of Adam As, did you not promise Me that you would not ask Me for anything else?`. He will say: ” Perhaps if I bring you close to it you will ask Me for something else? He will promise that he will not ask Him for anything else, and his Lord, the Most High, will excuse him because he has seen something he cannot help wanting. So he will be brought near to it and he will take shelter in its shade and drink of its water.

Then another tree will be raised up for him at the gate of Paradise that is more beautiful than the first two. He will say: “O Lord, bring me closer to this tree so that I might take shelter in its shade and drink of its water, and I will not ask You for anything else”. He (Allah) will say: ” O son of Adam As, did you not promise Me that you would not ask Me of anything else?`. He will say: ” No, O Lord, I will not ask You for anything else?`. His Lord, the Most High, will excuse him because he has seen something that he cannot help wanting.

He will be brought close to it, and when he draws close to it, he will hear the voices of the people of Paradise and will say: ” O Lord, admit me therein”. He (Allah) will say: ” O son of Adam As, what will make you stop asking?`. Will it please you if I gave you the world and as much again?`. He will say: ” O Lord, are you making fun of me when you are the Lord of the Worlds?`.

Ibn Masud Ra laughed and said: ” Why don`t you ask me why I am laughing?`. They said: ” Why are you laughing?`. He (Ibn Masud Ra) said: ” This is how the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) laughed and they said: ” Why are you laughing, O Messenger of Allah?`. He (pbuh) said: ” Because the Lord of the Worlds will laugh when He says: “Are you making fun of me while you are the Lord of the Worlds?`. And He (Allah) will say: “I am not making fun of you, bu I am Able to do whatever I will”. (Muslim, Sahih).

tahajjud prayerAllah has given us so many opportunities to ask of Him, and we don`t even utilize them. Just think where it could lead us if we knew of every such opportunity? Each and every want their supplications to be answered, but when is the most auspicious time to make dua? It happens every night at tahajjud time. Yes every night, so seize this opportunity as much as you can. Especially now that the nights are so long it shouldn`t be any problem to stand up for prayer at night.

Sheikh Yasir Qadhi has said: “If you want something in your life and you aren`t reading tahajjud for it, than in reality you don`t really want it”. This should motivate us to supplicate at the most Heard time of the night in sha Allah. In night there is an hour that supplications are answered. It was narrated from Abu Sufyan Ra that Jabir Ra said>: ” I heard the Prophet (pbuh) say:

” In the night there is an hour when if a muslim asks Allah for good in this world and in the Hereafter, He will give him it, and that happens every night.” (Sahih Muslim)

So no more waiting for only fridays to make special supplications at the one hour before magribh 😉 This is a gift to us from Allah that I hope we can try to make the best of in sha Allah, ameen.

Also the Prophet (pbuh) has mentioned that rakats are of two and two at the night prayer. And read the witr at the end if you know you will stand up for night prayer, if not than you should read it at the beginning of the night. The special time begins at the last third of the night: It was narrated from Abu Hurairah Ra that the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said:

“Our Lord, May He be blessed and exalted, comes down to the lowest heaven every night when the last third (2/3) of the night is left, and He says : ” Who will call upon Me, that I may answer him? Who will ask of Me, that I may give him? Who will ask Me for forgiveness, that I may forgive him? “.

There is no better time to ask Allah than in this hour in sha Allah. May Allah make us of those that read tahajjud every night and may Allah make us His pious worshippers, May Allah keep us steadfast on the deen and guidance and give us the best in this world and the Hereafter, ameen summa ameen. Remember me and the whole Ummah in your humble prayers in sha Allah.

wudhu erase sinsThere are several hadiths told by our Prophet about the benefits of Wudhu. In a day those who pray all the prayers, does wudhu at least five times a day, if not more. Our Prophet (pbuh) has told us that purifications is half of faith. So we should keep ourself pure and neat at all time. Wudhu also raises our status as well. It can also be the reason why we enter Jannah. And also means of forgiveness for our sins. Let me share a few hadiths with you about the matter 😉

There are a lot of benefits of doing wudhu and keeping wudhu from throughout the day, being at work or at school. Nowadays when I go out I always keep a little bottle with me, in case I have to go to the washroom and use it as a vessel. I have also kept a few vessels at work so that not only I but also other muslims can benefit from keeping themselves clean. So you see it isn`t impossible if you make up your mind that you want to attain more good deeds in sha Allah.

The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) has said :

“On the day of resurrection, my Ummah will be called al-ghurr al-muhajjaloon because of traces of wudhu, so whoever can increase the area of his radiance, let him do so”. (Abu Dawood)

The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) has said:

“Whoever performs wudhu properly as enjoined by Allah the Most High, then the five prayers will be an expiation for whatever (of sin) comes in between”. (Sahih Muslim)

Doing wudhu well and with no other motive than to seek blessings from it to read salah, can be a way of you being forgiven your previous sins. It was narrated that Humran, the freed slave said:

“One person performed wudhu well, then he said: I saw the Prophet (pbuh) perform wudhu and doing it well, then he said: Whoever performs wudhu like this, then goes to the masjid, with no motive other than the prayer, his previous sins will be forgiven”. (Sahih Muslim).

As long as big sins are avoided there are a lot of blessings in reading the five prayers from one Jumu`ah to the other Jumu`ah.

It was narrated from Abu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allah said: ” The obligatory five prayers, from one Jumu`ah to the other Jumu`ah are an expiation for whatever (sins) come in between, so long as one does not commit any major sins”. (Sahih Muslim).

Doing wudhu well and reading to rakat namaz can be your ticket to Jannah. The Prophet (pbuh) has said:

“There is no muslim who performs wudhu and does it well, then stands and prays to rakah in which his heart is focused on the qiblah, but Paradise will be due to him”. (Sahih Muslim).

In the same hadith it was also mentioned something about what you should read after you have done wudhu and have just stepped out of the washroom that will open the eight gates of Paradise for you. Do you want to know, simply read on 😉 The Prophet (pbuh) has said:

“There is no one amongst you who performs wudhu well and does it completely and says the second kalimah: ” Ashadu An la ilaha Illallah Wa Ashadu Anna Mohammadan Abduho Wa Rasoloh (I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and that Muhammad (pbuh) is His slave and Messenger`, but the eight gates of Paradise will be opened to him and he will enter through whichever one he wishes”. (Sahih Muslim)

When one does wudhu, it is extremely important that one washes ones nose thoroughly. The Prophet has said:

“.. When any of you does wudhu, let him put water in his nostrils, then let him blow it out”. (Sahih Muslim).

Though there are other rules of cleaning your nose if you are fasting. Asim bin Laqit bin Sabrah narrated from his father who said:

” O Messenger of Allah! Inform me about wudhu”. So he said: ” Perform wudhu well, and go between the fingers and perform istinshaq (water sniffed up in the nose) extensively except when fasting.” (Sahih, Jami`At-Tirmidhi).

Sins exit with the water of wudhu. Every one of us has sinned one time or the other. If you want to lessen your burden of sins, do wudhu and keep your wudhu throughout the day in sha Allah, at all times and your sins will diminish in sha Allah. The Prophet (pbuh) has said:

” When a muslim performs wudhu and washes his face, every sin that he looked at with his eyes comes out from his face with the water, or with the last drop of the water. When he washes his hands, every sin that he committed with his hands comes out from his hands with the water, or with the last drop of the water. When he washes his feet, every sin to which he walked with his feet comes out from his feet with the water, or with the last drop of the water, until he emerges cleansed of sins”. (Sahih Muslim).

If you do wudhu at times when it is difficult to do so, because of cold or other elements your raise your own status and erase your sins. Abu Hurayra narrated that the Prophet (pbuh) has said:

” Shall I not tell you something by means of which Allah erases sins and raises people in status?`. They said: `Yes, O Messenger of Allah`. He said: “Performing wudhu properly during times of when it is difficult to do so, taking many steps to the masjid, and waiting for prayer after prayer. That is your Ribat (it means guarding the frontier). (Sahih Muslim).

I guess if what the Prophet have said about wudhu matters to you, you would after you have read all these hadiths, go straight to the washroom and do properly wudhu. Not only that, but from the barakat of this holy month of ramadan we are in, why not try to start with new healthy habits like always keeping your wudhu throughout the day, in sha Allah. I`m in, are you? 😀

My Prayer..

“O Allah, place light in my heart, and on my tongue light, and in my ears light and in my sight light, and above me light, and below me light, and to my right light, and to my left light, and before me light and behind me light. Place in my soul light. Magnify for me light, and amplify for me light. Make for me light and make me a light. O Allah, grant me light, and place light in my nerves, and in my body light and in my blood light and in my hair light and in my skin light.” Ameen
