At work. As doctors, advocates, engineers. We are often very proud of ourselves when we attain some kind of position in society. People who achieve some kind of business or work, with a big salary didn`t come to that point themselves. They probably had many people backing them up. First of all their parents, their siblings, their good friends, and those teachers that guided them to make good decisions in life. Without these people they wouldn`t have been where they are today. Not only these people. Also other people who backed them when they were in difficulty. Prayed for them when they had some kind of troubles. Not only elders. It could have been a supplication of someone whom you hardly know. The same goes when it comes to something good or bad happening in your life, that turns your heart towards Your Creator. When your heart already yearns for Your Creator, you only need a little help, to walk, to join the right path. A muslim brother or sister who encouraged you to pray, a spiritual teacher who helped you remember Allah. and the list goes on.

Each Who Helped Us

Most of these people I have talked about in this text, helped you unconditionally. They expected nothing in return. They helped thinking of you, not themselves. It is very important, that when we achieve some kind of position, that we don`t forget these gems. These gems, who helped us, when we were lost, and needed good advice. They saw the potential in us, when we didn`t believe in us, as much as we do today. The best we can do is, be with them and help them, and do good for them. If that is not possible, than at least pray for them. Supplicate for them, every day. I would certainly not have been where I am today, without those people who believed in me, throughout my life. Ya Allah, have mercy on those who has helped without me knowing it, and while me knowing it. Ya Allah, each who has helped me while me knowing it, or while me not knowing it, grant them infinite blessings in both worlds. Aamen. In every one of every infinite blessing, grant them infinite new blessings of both worlds. Aamen. Guide us to the right path, and keep us firm on the right path. Aamen. Without doubt, Allah is able to do all things. I put my trust in my and your Creator. Allah will suffice me. Aamen. Protect me from those I know are bad for me, and protect me from those I don’t know are bad for me. Accept this for every ummati. Aamen

When we learn something from our teacher. He (she) lights a torch of knowledge (wisdom) in us. The love for remembering Allah increases. Now it’s upto us, to take care of it, help it grow and to pass it on to others, and invite them to the mehfil. The love of Allah, is such, that no matter who your family, sibling, spouse, children, work, color, ethnicity is, without that love, everything we have gained is bitter. With the love and obedience of Allah, no matter how small achievement it is, Allah makes it good for us, increases baraqah through it for us, blesses us through the achievement. When we invite other to the khair (dhikr mehfil), we wish for them something similar as we have. Inviting someone for the sake of Allah, means we are not helping them for any personal benefit, except that if they start with dhikr, they will pray for us, and our own baraqah increases in our life. What good they will do, will also benefit us with good deeds. And the khair becomes a sadqa jariyah (ongoing charity), that lasts longer than our life. When we pray salah or do dhikr, it is for our personal benefit. Allah doesn’t need our prayers. We are in need of Him. If we only pray for a certain matter to happen for us, and it doesn’t happen, we can’t let our practice of love and obedience for Allah, die because of that. No matter what your blessing is, Allah decreases the goodness from that blessing, if you are not obedient to Him (Allah). We need Allah, just as much as when we are the most succesful human on earth, as when we are of the most un-succesful person on earth, in dunya blessings. Success without Allah, is actually failure, no matter your salary, your children, status, spouse etc. Ya Allah, grant us to win the struggle of perfecting our niyah, our ikhlas, our integrity. Aamen. Ya Allah, help us increase in doing dhikr every day. Ya Allah, Help us successfully pass on the torch of the remembrance of Allah, for the sake of Allah, to others, so it can become an ongoing charity for us for many years. Ya Allah, grant us to win the struggle in correcting those faults in us, that are coming in our way of us learning what our teacher knows we lack. Grant us to reach our fullest potential in becoming the most succesful “muttaqi of imam” of our time. Aamen

muslim-child-boy-sujodWhen a child steps out of the toilet, most mothers will ask: “Did you remember to wash your hands, dear?”. If the mother is a practising muslimah, she will most probably add: “Did you remember to wash yourself behind with water, and did you remember to wash your hands after that?”. Muslims take cleanliness very seriously. We have been taught from our religion that the purity of our income (halal earning), the purity of what we eat (halal food), has an effect on how we behave, what we think etc.

A Man And The Desert

There was a man in the desert who had lost his camel, with food and water. He was all alone. Left to die. In his last effort to find help, he falls on his knees and prays to Allah “help me”. In response of this Allah says, ” how can I help you, when what you are wearing comes from un-halal resources. What you have eaten is un-halal food. What you have been doing is un-halal. How can Allah, accept your prayer.

marsmallow-white Say No To Marshmallows With Gelatine

We have difficulties in controlling our desires for money, status, beauty, position, wealth, satisfy needs of body. This is because, just like our body needs to exercise to be strong, and our intellect is in need of training to increase IQ, our soul needs spirituality to keep it strong, our will (nafs – myself) needs exercise to make good decisions in life and being able to withhold oneself from prohibitions. To be able to not steal a marshmallow, when your hungry, just because, there is some time before you will have your own marshmallow. Ability to say no to women / men who wants to have sex with you. (Like Yusuf a.s in surah Yusuf). The lesson talks about a young man who was seduced by a woman, but muslim women, young and beautiful, have difficulties, stepping out of their homes too, for college, for work, for mosque etc. Many have hijab, and many don’t. Nowadays many women beautify their hijab, which caused fitnah, and the main purpose of hijab is lost. How can youth and adults win the control over ourself in times of fitnah?

Cultivate Sweetness Of Salah, Khusho, Complete Fardh

Hazoor Pak pbuh has said, the first matter we will lose, when the fitnah occurs is the khusho. The salah was the greatest comforter for our Prophet pbuh. When he lost his first wife, Khadijah raa and His pbuh uncle, and his pbuh enemies increased, and he pbuh had no tribe leaders who could support him like his pbuh uncle. The incident of Taif, when he pbuh tried to win some support, and was humiliated and injured, by the people in that city. Allah gave him the gift of salah to find comfort. Imagine if the fitnah in world is increasing and we will lose what will take away our biggest comfort, what state will we be in than. Trying to find another comfort. Is there anyone who can comfort us as the deen of Allah? NO. Most of those who pray, knows how difficult it is to develop khusho in salah. It is a bit like sweetness of salah. No one will be granted the sweetness of anything, unless they first do the minimum fardh. So if the state of the ummah is, that about 10 percent of us read salah 5 times a day, those who read it once in a while, will not be able to cultivate proper khusho. So we need to help each other to encourage reading the five daily prayers, everyday, no matter what.

At The Time Of Desires Or Anger

In times of anger and desire, many people are not able to control their nafs. They go out of control, and later regret. Hazoor Paak pbuh has taught us to do wudhu in times of anger and desires. That will reduce it, and give us a control back. At the same time it cleans us from our impurities, when the sins falls with the drops that goes into the sink. We need to revive the sunnah of doing wudhu and keeping wudhu. A muslim who prays, must do wudhu minimum 5 times a day. If we keep ourselves in the state of wudhu, we will also have angels accompany us. And Allah will protect us. Purity is not only for the soul and the body. We must do tawbah and repentance everyday, to clean our impurities of bad qualities in the heart. The gossiping, envy, jealousy, arrogance comes from an un-clean heart. If we clean it everyday, the good of it will be seen more often. Our deeds says a lot about the state of our heart. If we are good in public and private, it is because of a good heart, purified from bad qualities. Ya Allah grant us to win the struggle and master our effort of perfecting our tawbah and repentance every day. For us, our family, friends and all ummati. Another aspect of purity is, to keep our clothes clean from impurities. Cleaning the private part, and clothing, in a way that it stays clean and pure. If it wouldn`t have been for or Islam, would we have done this? How different stains of najasa, impurity, has to be washed. If our clothing is not clean and our wudhu not properly done, our salah will not be accepted. Keeping ourself pure, in soul, body, clothing and food, is because of what we learn from our religion.

Tools For Youth To Find Comfort

From our child turns 9, he is guided to start salah. From the reading of the daily prayers he understands cleanliness. As he turns into a teen, he will experience more fitnah, at the same type of feelings he has to understand. His body is changing. He has to find himself. Wants and dislikes, hobbies, friends. Allah didn`t make salah a fardh from year of 9 without any wisdom behind it. If your child learns to do wudhu often to get control over desires, anger in puberty. At the same time finds comfort through salah. You have helped him find a way to cope through his teens, with tools that can help him prosper. Not only is he completing the fardh, his ranks are raised because of it. He is of those who will achieve the Throne of Allah on his head, because he turned to Allah in his youth. Allah has said it himself, the way to find peace is in the remembrance of Allah. As the youth starts praying, he can increase duas. Strengthen connection with Allah through supplications. Read drud sharif to increase love of Hazoor Paak pbuh. If we manage to instill these qualities in our children. There is not much that can stand in their way of bliss in this world or the next. And when something negative happens, they can find comfort through the salah and remembering Allah. When our earnings are halal, we keep ourself pure, inside and outside, and are able to develop sufficient self control, what we say and do, especially for the youth, will be good. All this is to manage the ups and downs of life, and keep us firm on the right path. If we are not clean in our private parts, or our soul, our the clothing is not from halal money, and we eat haram food. That will have a bad effect. We will be doing and saying things that are completely prohibited. When we help the youth and give them the proper tools, and good example through our practice, help them make good habits in their life. Allah will support them and keep them pure. Encourage them to make tawbah and repentance often, to cleanse their heart, every day. Ya Allah, make it easy for us, to help the youth master the muslim tools to finding comfort, help, support. So they can become the most succesful muttaqi of imam, of their time, Aameen.

At work, if we follow the guidelines the manager makes. Do a good job, and support our colleagues, most people will get a raise (wages) and position. The same similtude can be drawn for a believer and Allah. When a believer follows islams guidelines. And prevents oneself from prohibitions, the believers ranks are raised, rewards of good deeds are increased, supplications are answered, Allah becomes a friend. Do you think a manager would listen to a rebellious employee? No. Neither will our Creator. Allah listens and responds to every dua. But the obedient believer have a greater answer, not only does Allah answer their prayers, He also supports them all the time. Ya Allah, grant us to win the struggle in becoming Your friend. Aameen.

Many people say that troubles come because of money or richness. That is not exactly correct. Although, with money, we will have a longer hisab on judgement day, and the spending will be questioned throrougly, but it’s not all bad.

Spend In The Way Of Allah

If it wasn’t for the converting of rich people to Islam, we wouldn’t have been able to do all the great work Islam did. We wouldn’t afford it. When these new muslims heard about the reward for helping people in need, and giving away money for the sake of Allah, they did not hesitate to eagerly increase the reward.

The Root Of The Problem Is Not Money

When we say that money and richness is the way to evil, that is incorrect. It is the intention and taqwa that is important. If we are rich and we have good intentions, we will spend on good matters. If we have godfear with the good niyah, we will also protect our earnings from being spent on wrong matters.

The Purity Of Deeds Will Be Weighed

A person with bad intentions and less godfear, will spend his wages on wrong matters, earning the sinful repercussions. But even if the same man did not have money, but still he had bad intentions and no godfear, and he wished for money to spend it on bad matters, he will still earn the sins, even if he did not commit them. Since Allah rewards according to the purity of good intention, he also punishes according to the wretchedness of bad intentions.

Ask For Increase In Sustenance

So ask for money and sustainable living. But most of all ask for godfear (taqwa) and pure and good intentions. Because even if you don’t have the money, you would wish for it to spend it on good matters, in Allah’s way. So Allah, will reward you for it, weighing the purity of your intentions. So next time, don’t curse the means / the resources, ask Allah, to guide each and every to spend their resources on something that will benefit their life and hereafter, and ask Allah to protect each and every from spending their money on anything that can harm them in both worlds. Ya Allah, grant us good aala niyah and taqwa and much richness, so we can spend privately and openly on matters that are important for You and those You love. So we can increase our reward and be united joyfullly with those You love under Your Throne, rejoicing together in good state. Aameen

in-debt-quote-prayer-supplication-krone-myntWe are all in some sort of debt. Not only financially, but in all sorts of way. Almost in every moment, matter and situation. We`re in debt of those who smiled at us, when we we`re worried. We`re in debt of those who gave us a helping hand, when we were struggling. We`re in debt of those who helped us learn knowledge, that we later internalized into our conduct. We are in debt of those who supported us, when many were against us. We are in debt of those who listened to us and guided us to good. We are in debt of those good friends, who didn`t give up on us. We are in debt of those who helped us to attain a living in a country, who is ranked in the top ten countries to live in. We are in debt of those who helped us develop our skills, our talents. We are in debt of those who guided us to the profession, we wanted to achieve. We are in debt of those who helped us find our spouse. We are in debt of the support of the people who care. We`re in debt of those who remember us in their prayers. We are in debt of everyone who’s had a pep-talk with us. We`re in debt of those who motivated us when we were down. Actually we have a lot of debt. May Allah pay it for us in this world and the next. And raise the ranks of those who supported us, in this world and the next. And make us appreciate the good in people. And make us appreciate them in this world also. And reward them for all the good we have achieved and will accomplish. Aameen.

My Prayer..

“O Allah, place light in my heart, and on my tongue light, and in my ears light and in my sight light, and above me light, and below me light, and to my right light, and to my left light, and before me light and behind me light. Place in my soul light. Magnify for me light, and amplify for me light. Make for me light and make me a light. O Allah, grant me light, and place light in my nerves, and in my body light and in my blood light and in my hair light and in my skin light.” Ameen
