Jihad is equal to struggle. To struggle in the way of Allah. Struggle to be good with your inner self. Struggle to do righteous deeds. Struggle to be good to family, friends and kin. Struggle to remember Allah. Struggle to obey Allah. Struggle to speak good. Struggle to protect ourselves from bad matters (lying, backbiting, slander). Struggle to make our conduct good. Struggle to correct our hijab, modesty and control over our private part. Struggle to keep our soul, heart and body clean and pure. Struggle to get rid of arrogance and bad qualities. Struggle to support good and speak against wrongdoers. For the real practising muslims. The struggle is REAL. All this is jihad, to struggle in the way of Allah, to become a good practising muslim. Ya Allah, grant us to win our biggest jihad. Aamen. The struggle we fight with our own self (nafs) every day. Aamen.

The beauty of Islam, is the vastness of the Mercy our Lord has for us. When we sincerely repent, make tawbah, our past sins are erased from our record, we become as pure as a child. The sign of us avoiding sinfulness again, is a sign of Allah accepting our repentence. Allah knows we are weak. Allah wants to help us. So Allah has told us keep good company. They won’t let you sin, and avoid sins themselves also. They remember Allah frequently, and remind you when you forget. They motivate you to learn and practice deen. They are at peace, and their presence increase peace.

What We Avoid.

Who we spend time with tells a lot about us. Our friends. Those we choose to connect with. Who we decide to avoid, also says a lot about us. If we avoid those who are doing good, and spend time with those who invite to evil, it will be difficult to change for the better. If we instead, do what we can, to join events that has khair in it, we will also benefit from it’s goodness. First priority after guidance is to keep us on the right path through the ups and downs of our life. We have to work proactively for it, to keep increasing in imaan and good character. We can’t accomplish that, without good company.

How To Prepare For A Marathon

If we don’t keep training our running abilities, after a month, our endurance will decrease. The next marathon, we will have a lower score. After we learn any kind of ability. We have to work to become better and increase our work for the next level, and so on. To improve. Our guiders our teachers boost us with confidence, knowledge and wisdom, and we are motivated to work harder to grow in our qualities as a muslim, and increase our practice of our deen. Allah doesn’t look at our results. He rewards us according to our struggle. Only He knows how much we are struggling to come closer to Him (Allah). That is exactly why, each and every muslim has a great chance of becoming a “friend of Allah”. Everyone has different challenges/abilites. Allah wants us to perfect our ikhlas and niyah in our struggle, and do what good we can within our capabilities (means).

Unique Qualities But The Same Goal

Just imagine, if we all were alike and had the same trouble at the same time? Whom would be able to help each other, when we are struggling with the same matter at the same time? Thanks to Allah, He created us unique, no one matches another. Because we are so individually gifted in different qualities, we can help each other prosper together. For example fla fla is good in writing. Fla fla is good in delivering speech. When they team up, one of them writes the speech, the other one perfectly delivers it, and they are able to make a good difference, by them teaming up for a good cause. So there is goodness in our unique-ness.

Catching The Cold Or Remain Healthy

When we stop growing, our endurance, qualities remain the same, or becomes worse. Time does not wait for anyone. Changes in fashion, knowledge, science, internet, stock market is rapid. When we try to keep us updated in the matters that are important for us (connected to our religion) we become more aware of what is happening in our community / country. The good and the bad. Even if we aren’t a part of everything. We can’t fight a disease without knowing about it. On the other side, we can’t feel thankfulness, if we don’t know how blessed we are. The first thing that helps us grow, is having self-insight. We are not perfect. We are not all bad, either. By learning about our mistakes, we can help ourselves and each other in overcoming them. Or protecting us and our loved ones from “catching the cold”.

O Blessed Souls, Enter Highest Paradise

Make sincere tawbah. Spend time with people who are good friends of akhirah. Grow in your abilities. Team up with those who have same goals. Avoid bad influence. Make a change were you live. Allah will reward you according to your struggle. Just keep checking on your niyah and ikhlas. We are doing good for the sake of Allah. And that He will forgive us. And enjoin us in highest paradise, because of our efforts. Aamen. Ya Allah, make it easy for us to join good events with khair. Make us prosper in both worlds. Aamen. Ya Allah, help us avoid places and events You dislike. Make us become our best version, in what You (Allah) wants us to accomplish. Aamen.

When I was on a trip to saudi arab Makkah and madina, our group went on ziyarah. A young guide, drove us from place to place. I still remember we asked this guide, you are so lucky, you live in the town so close to the best mosques, you can do umrah or hajj whenever you want. To this he replied, I’m very blessed to live here. The only matter that makes it difficult for the muslims who live here is the hasad (jealousy) in the people. If it wouldn’t have been for that, I would have liked it even more. This was in 2009.

I remember what he said til today. The qualities Islam came to change, are still found in many muslims. If we would try to strengthen the brotherhood and sisterhood of the ummah, our brothers and sisters wouldn’t be in so much trouble, misery and danger. We have forgotten to practice the qualities Hazoor Paak ‎ﷺ have taught. Ya Allah, grant us to win the struggle of proactively strengthening the brotherhood of this ummah. Grant us to win struggle of proactively get rid of bad qualities in our heart, that are making problem for all ummati to unite as one ummah. Aamen

fitnaHave you heard about, a young sahabi, whom saw a naked woman doing ghusl, and been so guilty of it, and cried for a long time, until he died of it. Not only ashamed of the action, but by the fear of Allah, how Allah will punish him. This was a young sahabi named Tha‘labah ibn ‘Abd ar-Rahmaan of the time of Prophet Muhammad pbuh.

Don`t Walk Near The Pit-falls

We know that times are changing. This time is filled with fitnah. It is very easy for a child, teen or adult to easily get access to any kind of filth, without their parents, or spouse, knowing. Hazoor Paak pbuh has said, in the time when the sahabi lived, Allah expected more from muslims when it comes to good deeds and quality. Because they were many, it was easier to do good deeds, with good quality. Hazoor Paak pbuh, said the time will come when holding to your deen is like holding to a coal of fire. Allah will expect less of the muslim, because it is very difficult for muslims to do deeds with good quality in times of fitnah. So no, we can`t excpect us muslim to be as good as the muslims of the sahabi era, but Allah doesn`t tell us to give up. We must struggle. Allah rewards us according to our struggle, niyah and ikhlas. So we must try to find ways that can help each other to remove pitfalls, so we can protect our own home and every muslim from the ummah, who is listening.

Your Charges Are Dropped, If You Marry Who You Raped

There is a country with many muslims. In that country, when a man rapes another woman, if he agrees to marry her, he will not get punished by the court. I don`t understand how it is possible that a country can make such rules. I do understand that this can`t be ok for the girl/woman who is raped. First of all, no girl / woman can be ok with marrying someone who doesn`t respect her. Someone who doesn`t respect a “no”. By letting these men of the hook, may put out the fire, but it won`t prevent more men to do the same. Easy way out. We rape her, we marry her for some time and divorce her when we want to. This is not ok. Instead of this rule, that country, should try to change the mindset of the younger teens and men, how to respect a girl/women. You might have other from the same gender in your family? A sister, a mother, a wife, a daughter. We must teach the male gender that they have to work on their self-control. Be in control of themselves in tough times. No matter what a girl, women does or says, nothing can justify a rape, in any way. But the girl and women, need to be responsible with how they behave. We have to be careful how we behave, in front of other men. We can revive the sunnah of modesty in our life.

coal-hand-islamNon-muslims Are Attracted To Modesty In Muslims

Another side of the story, if a muslim girl/woman wears perfume, and goes outside where other non-mahram might be. This is not allowed, because men will experience fitnah. So some people asked a scholar, what if a man puts on perfume? A woman experience fitnah. Then what? Some scholars say the reason this is not applied to men, women don`t stalk men. But men can easily stalk a woman. Time is changing. Here in the west, the husbands, sons, brothers of our family, is a muslim minority. When they step out of their homes, most people they meet at school, college, work are men and women who are non-muslims. Non-muslim women has less barriers to interact with the opposite gender. At the same time single people are increasing in our country. Muslim mens modesty and faith, is very attractive. I`m talking about non-muslim women who are almost always being lusted by others, wherever they are. Many of them who get tired of this, wants to be loved for who they are not what they look like. It is not only a muslims identity to practice modesty, but can be seen in general in asian cultures, no matter what religion. Many non-muslim women easily fall in love with muslim men, because they see in them qualities they hardly find in their own people. So the fear of being stalked by a non-muslim women is not to fare fetched. A non-muslim woman can create more difficulties for muslim men who are in the struggle of correcting their hijab. The struggle becomes more dangerous. You can read any book about the struggle men have when a beautiful women is nearby. They struggle to perfect the hijab, is much more difficult. A readable book: what you need to know about the inner life of men, by shaunti Feldhahn.

Muslim Girls Who Travel Alone

Non-muslim girls and women aren`t the only who make the struggle harder for men. Because of the weak iman in many muslim girls and women, they can easily become a stalker themselves. Nowadays, it`s not seen as difficult, for a group of muslim girls/ women to go for a vacation without any mahram. Many travel only with their female friends to many countries. If a muslim girl can take the airplane to scotland, to visit a friend, or relax for a weekend trip, it can most certainly, not be difficult for her to find out about another male muslim, where he lives, matters about his life, and try to make him like her, and want to marry her. In other words, men who aren`t working on their hijab, and use perfume, and look good, will experience fitnah from non-muslim girls/women AND muslim girls/women. So yeah their struggle is real. I can`t say I want muslim men to not go outside, they are the provider. They have to. But they must be aware of these matters. Ya Allah, grant all muslim men of the ummah to win the struggle to perfect their hijab, in public and private. Protect them from experiencing fitnah and bad company. Aameen

Fear Of Tribulations For Both Genders

An aspect that is less talked about because of the tabu issue, is the fact that a girl/ woman raping a boy/ man. Just because it is less addressed doesn`t mean it doesn`t happen. Mostly men are seen as the strong, so it is very difficult for them to admit that a girl/ woman tried or succeeded in raping them. Since we already have realized the big tribulations are on rise, there are girls/women who are guilty of this. This is a very sensitive topic. But it needs to be addressed. The numbers are unknown. This is a very important reason, why muslim girls / women must be helped to correct their hijab by their family, friends or the muslim women leaders of the community. When a girl/ woman says she has been raped, everyone immediately, accepts that as the truth, because she is the weak part, most of the times. When boys / men have been raped, it`s more difficult for them to complain to the police, because of shame of being man and weak. If and when they feel that, they need to read the surah Yusuf, chapter of Quran. Both gender can experience someone trying to seduce them. We must help each other and all the community to find solutions, and help to protect every marriage in the community. Ya Allah, make it easy for all the ummah to win the constant struggle of perfecting our hijab, in public and private. Ya Allah grant every ummati to master their self-control in public and private. Ya Allah, grant the ummah to win the struggle of protecting ourself and each other from bad company. Ya Allah, help all the ummati to win the struggle of being in good company all the time. Don`t let bad qualities have any effect on any ummati. Inspire the muslim women/men leaders, to address their followers about this, in a way that will have good effect on those listening. Aameen

muslim-child-boy-sujodWhen a child steps out of the toilet, most mothers will ask: “Did you remember to wash your hands, dear?”. If the mother is a practising muslimah, she will most probably add: “Did you remember to wash yourself behind with water, and did you remember to wash your hands after that?”. Muslims take cleanliness very seriously. We have been taught from our religion that the purity of our income (halal earning), the purity of what we eat (halal food), has an effect on how we behave, what we think etc.

A Man And The Desert

There was a man in the desert who had lost his camel, with food and water. He was all alone. Left to die. In his last effort to find help, he falls on his knees and prays to Allah “help me”. In response of this Allah says, ” how can I help you, when what you are wearing comes from un-halal resources. What you have eaten is un-halal food. What you have been doing is un-halal. How can Allah, accept your prayer.

marsmallow-white Say No To Marshmallows With Gelatine

We have difficulties in controlling our desires for money, status, beauty, position, wealth, satisfy needs of body. This is because, just like our body needs to exercise to be strong, and our intellect is in need of training to increase IQ, our soul needs spirituality to keep it strong, our will (nafs – myself) needs exercise to make good decisions in life and being able to withhold oneself from prohibitions. To be able to not steal a marshmallow, when your hungry, just because, there is some time before you will have your own marshmallow. Ability to say no to women / men who wants to have sex with you. (Like Yusuf a.s in surah Yusuf). The lesson talks about a young man who was seduced by a woman, but muslim women, young and beautiful, have difficulties, stepping out of their homes too, for college, for work, for mosque etc. Many have hijab, and many don’t. Nowadays many women beautify their hijab, which caused fitnah, and the main purpose of hijab is lost. How can youth and adults win the control over ourself in times of fitnah?

Cultivate Sweetness Of Salah, Khusho, Complete Fardh

Hazoor Pak pbuh has said, the first matter we will lose, when the fitnah occurs is the khusho. The salah was the greatest comforter for our Prophet pbuh. When he lost his first wife, Khadijah raa and His pbuh uncle, and his pbuh enemies increased, and he pbuh had no tribe leaders who could support him like his pbuh uncle. The incident of Taif, when he pbuh tried to win some support, and was humiliated and injured, by the people in that city. Allah gave him the gift of salah to find comfort. Imagine if the fitnah in world is increasing and we will lose what will take away our biggest comfort, what state will we be in than. Trying to find another comfort. Is there anyone who can comfort us as the deen of Allah? NO. Most of those who pray, knows how difficult it is to develop khusho in salah. It is a bit like sweetness of salah. No one will be granted the sweetness of anything, unless they first do the minimum fardh. So if the state of the ummah is, that about 10 percent of us read salah 5 times a day, those who read it once in a while, will not be able to cultivate proper khusho. So we need to help each other to encourage reading the five daily prayers, everyday, no matter what.

At The Time Of Desires Or Anger

In times of anger and desire, many people are not able to control their nafs. They go out of control, and later regret. Hazoor Paak pbuh has taught us to do wudhu in times of anger and desires. That will reduce it, and give us a control back. At the same time it cleans us from our impurities, when the sins falls with the drops that goes into the sink. We need to revive the sunnah of doing wudhu and keeping wudhu. A muslim who prays, must do wudhu minimum 5 times a day. If we keep ourselves in the state of wudhu, we will also have angels accompany us. And Allah will protect us. Purity is not only for the soul and the body. We must do tawbah and repentance everyday, to clean our impurities of bad qualities in the heart. The gossiping, envy, jealousy, arrogance comes from an un-clean heart. If we clean it everyday, the good of it will be seen more often. Our deeds says a lot about the state of our heart. If we are good in public and private, it is because of a good heart, purified from bad qualities. Ya Allah grant us to win the struggle and master our effort of perfecting our tawbah and repentance every day. For us, our family, friends and all ummati. Another aspect of purity is, to keep our clothes clean from impurities. Cleaning the private part, and clothing, in a way that it stays clean and pure. If it wouldn`t have been for or Islam, would we have done this? How different stains of najasa, impurity, has to be washed. If our clothing is not clean and our wudhu not properly done, our salah will not be accepted. Keeping ourself pure, in soul, body, clothing and food, is because of what we learn from our religion.

Tools For Youth To Find Comfort

From our child turns 9, he is guided to start salah. From the reading of the daily prayers he understands cleanliness. As he turns into a teen, he will experience more fitnah, at the same type of feelings he has to understand. His body is changing. He has to find himself. Wants and dislikes, hobbies, friends. Allah didn`t make salah a fardh from year of 9 without any wisdom behind it. If your child learns to do wudhu often to get control over desires, anger in puberty. At the same time finds comfort through salah. You have helped him find a way to cope through his teens, with tools that can help him prosper. Not only is he completing the fardh, his ranks are raised because of it. He is of those who will achieve the Throne of Allah on his head, because he turned to Allah in his youth. Allah has said it himself, the way to find peace is in the remembrance of Allah. As the youth starts praying, he can increase duas. Strengthen connection with Allah through supplications. Read drud sharif to increase love of Hazoor Paak pbuh. If we manage to instill these qualities in our children. There is not much that can stand in their way of bliss in this world or the next. And when something negative happens, they can find comfort through the salah and remembering Allah. When our earnings are halal, we keep ourself pure, inside and outside, and are able to develop sufficient self control, what we say and do, especially for the youth, will be good. All this is to manage the ups and downs of life, and keep us firm on the right path. If we are not clean in our private parts, or our soul, our the clothing is not from halal money, and we eat haram food. That will have a bad effect. We will be doing and saying things that are completely prohibited. When we help the youth and give them the proper tools, and good example through our practice, help them make good habits in their life. Allah will support them and keep them pure. Encourage them to make tawbah and repentance often, to cleanse their heart, every day. Ya Allah, make it easy for us, to help the youth master the muslim tools to finding comfort, help, support. So they can become the most succesful muttaqi of imam, of their time, Aameen.

The matter about muslims making fake stories. First of all, if they are muslims and like to use humour in their dawah projects, they have to study what the quran and sunnah says about humour. Muslims are serious about holy matters.

The Great Deception

If muslims are making fake stories for fun, they should understand that Hazoor Paak (pbuh) has said: “the greatest of all deceptions is to lie to your brother (sister) while he (she) believes you.

Diverting Attention

Another problem with fake stories is that, it takes away the attention of important issues the world is facing. The fakeness increases the distrust to all kinds of stories, even the true ones lose reliability.

Wrong Incentive

If the intention of those who make fake stories is to increase the readers critical thinking while reading a story, they are using the wrong incentives, which again can lead to bad side-effects and people who doesn’t care about the world, will increase.

Question Ethics Of Journalism

People who know how powerful media is. Muslims and blacks and different ethnicities know the racism / bigotry / double standards of the media. And those oppressed by media, understand how important it is for each and every individual to develop the quality of critical thinking. If 1. of april was celebrated everyday, we would be more critical to what people told us. (1.april is not allowed in Islam). Every story any anchor in the media presents, every opinion million of viewers are watching, is coloured by the personal views of the journalist. How can we cultivate good sound ethics in this profession? In other words, since lying is more common in people, we are actually told many lies in the media everyday. Most of us, are too naive or manipulated to the extent that we believe everything we hear, without checking the reliability or the source of information. Hazoor Paak (pbuh) has said: “a person who believes everything he hears, is a liar”. Also the quran tells us to check the reliability of what we hear, hence we do some harm because of it, and later become regretful. I pray that every individual is taught how to be critical to information from the school. Not to develop mistrust, but to make them understand the whole puzzle, not just one part of the story. Although we want to protect children /teens as much as we can, we can’t. People are telling lies in faces of people. And we are not able to always tell you what is right. But with teaching children and teenager good values and critical thinking.  They will themselves become well prepared to face the world. Who is cruel to everyone. Especially those who are naive.

It Hardens Your Heart

We have come to a time, where people share news, if the presenter is beautiful. Not many notice the message as much as how the presenter is beautiful. Life is not only about hip-hop, songs, the right beard and stuff. Life will only increase us in value if we have good conduct. Laughing til you fall is probably fun in your teens, as you mature as a muslim, you will sence you soul being un-happy with your laughter, because it hardens your heart.

His Beauty Is Also His Atributes

Another problem, is when people make lies about seeing the name of Allah, in differents, fruits or vegetables or in the clouds or mountains. There is no doubt that Allah, is able to do whatever he wants. But by just seeing His (Allah) name written, doesn’t do justice to His Perfect Beauty. Allah’s beauty can be seen through His Atributes 99 names. Just as there is no doubt that Hazoor Paak (pbuh) was beautiful. But his (pbuh) beauty that melted hearts, can be known through his (pbuh) conduct, values, character, manners, forgivingness, empathy, inviting all mankind to success, humility, peacefulness, kindness, selfless giving, gestures, smiling, easygoingness, cheerfulness, spreading good, helping people who were mean to him, forbeareness, supplications, connection with his (pbuh) Creator, his (pbuh) good sence of humour, good treatment of women and children and elders, sincerity, pure love for his (pbuh) followers and all mankind, eagerness to spread Allah’s words, hopefulness, taking away others burdens, gratefulness, contentment, simplicity, godfear, taqwa, love of God, obedience to His Creator, making matters easy and halal. And the list goes on and on.

Humour Has Become “Mean”

Hazoor Paak (pbuh) dislikes people who tell lies in order to make other laugh. Hazoor Paak (pbuh) dislikes those who tell untrue stories. Hazoor Paak (pbuh) had a great sence of humour. Humour that was pure, good, lighhearted fun.  Humour today have become something “mean”, because it’s baked in telling other people’s mistakes in a funny way. We look down at you, so we make fun of you. (That involves backbiting, pride / arrogance, honor-issues, making up un-true stories and much more). Hazoor Paak (pbuh) has said a man may utter a word, and without knowing, have fallen deep down in jahanum because of it. May Allah help all people rectify their matters as soon as possible, and grant everyone a sincere tawbah for all past mistakes. Aameen.

Please Remove All Tragical Effects Of This Post

May Allah guide us all, to not misuse humour, but instead learn halal techniques that can help us swallow an important message, without dying because of it. Aameen.

My Prayer..

“O Allah, place light in my heart, and on my tongue light, and in my ears light and in my sight light, and above me light, and below me light, and to my right light, and to my left light, and before me light and behind me light. Place in my soul light. Magnify for me light, and amplify for me light. Make for me light and make me a light. O Allah, grant me light, and place light in my nerves, and in my body light and in my blood light and in my hair light and in my skin light.” Ameen
