Hazoor Paak ‎ﷺ manners are perfect. He has perfected how and what good manners are. We cherish him ‎ﷺ because of his ‎ﷺ way of interaction with each and every. His ‎ﷺ seerah is our guideline in how we can reach his ‎ﷺ awsome character, truthfulness, sincerity, genuine care, cheerfulness, problemsolver, comforter, supplications, obedience to Allah, Purity, Asr, strength, inclusiveness, dislikes of sins, heartmelting speech and conduc, good treatment of others regardless of what they own, gratitude to Allah, concern and mercifulness for all humanity.

The Upper Class With Good Manners

People nowadays, often find excuses of why people are difficult, because of their lack of manners. Just teach him/her manners. That is more important than knowledge. I dont agree with this. First of all, knowledge is useless without behaviour in accordance with what we have learned. It’s not enough to “know” that the best of men are those who are good to their wife. It must also be seen in their conduct. Second point is that many people know, how to eat, sit, what to say, not say, the prohibitions of guarding tongue and private parts. The upper class knows how to behave, but they lack the good islamic values in their life. They know what to wear, how to decorate their home, how to befriend anyone. Still they lack the basic teachings of Islam. The problem isn’t that they do not say salam to people, the problem is that when that person has passed, most people are not able to guard their tongue from sins of the tongue, eyes or private parts. This has become so ordinary, that people doesn’t see any problem with it.

He ‎ﷺ seeked advice from his ‎ﷺ wife

It’s not enough to say that you love Hazoor Paak ‎ﷺ because of how he helped everyone, and supported everyone all the time, when you are too ashamed to help your wife in front of your friends, because your friends makes fun of the sunnah of helping your wife. His wife decides everything. Hazoor Paak ‎ﷺ has wives who have helped him with what he should do, when the sahaba raa were not obeying his command. His ‎ﷺ wife said, don’t tell them to cut their hair and make sacrifice. Do it and they will follow your conduct. And what she raa said, happened.

95 % Of Muslims Are Not Doing It

How can we talk about manners without talking about Hazoor Paak ‎ﷺ seerah. His ‎ﷺ most perfect treatment of others. How are we today? Do we lower our gaze? Do we read 5 salah everyday? Do we speak truthfully? Do we slander? Do we make fun of others? Are we practising humility? If only 5 % of muslims pray salah, and the salah, protect us from doing sins, it means 95% of muslims are surely sinning, not only by not praying, but because they aren’t praying, they are not able to stop themselves from those sins prayers protect them from committing.

A New Time Of Ignorance?

I know that the problem of the ummah, is that there has come a new time of jahiliyah (ignorance). There is no event we can attend where there isn’t people who are sinning with their tongues, with their eyes and with their private parts? The protection a practising muslim sees, is by simply decline. I don’t want to be a part of any event, where my islamic values are disrespected.

Can You Hear Hazoor Paak ‎ﷺ weeping?

I’m sure Hazoor Paak ‎ﷺ knows what we are going through. Can you imagine his ‎ﷺ feelings? He ‎ﷺ weeping. He ‎ﷺ weeping. He ‎ﷺ sobbing. What will happen to my ummah, when the ummati are just as afraid from another ummati, as they are from a non-muslim?

muslim-child-boy-sujodWhen a child steps out of the toilet, most mothers will ask: “Did you remember to wash your hands, dear?”. If the mother is a practising muslimah, she will most probably add: “Did you remember to wash yourself behind with water, and did you remember to wash your hands after that?”. Muslims take cleanliness very seriously. We have been taught from our religion that the purity of our income (halal earning), the purity of what we eat (halal food), has an effect on how we behave, what we think etc.

A Man And The Desert

There was a man in the desert who had lost his camel, with food and water. He was all alone. Left to die. In his last effort to find help, he falls on his knees and prays to Allah “help me”. In response of this Allah says, ” how can I help you, when what you are wearing comes from un-halal resources. What you have eaten is un-halal food. What you have been doing is un-halal. How can Allah, accept your prayer.

marsmallow-white Say No To Marshmallows With Gelatine

We have difficulties in controlling our desires for money, status, beauty, position, wealth, satisfy needs of body. This is because, just like our body needs to exercise to be strong, and our intellect is in need of training to increase IQ, our soul needs spirituality to keep it strong, our will (nafs – myself) needs exercise to make good decisions in life and being able to withhold oneself from prohibitions. To be able to not steal a marshmallow, when your hungry, just because, there is some time before you will have your own marshmallow. Ability to say no to women / men who wants to have sex with you. (Like Yusuf a.s in surah Yusuf). The lesson talks about a young man who was seduced by a woman, but muslim women, young and beautiful, have difficulties, stepping out of their homes too, for college, for work, for mosque etc. Many have hijab, and many don’t. Nowadays many women beautify their hijab, which caused fitnah, and the main purpose of hijab is lost. How can youth and adults win the control over ourself in times of fitnah?

Cultivate Sweetness Of Salah, Khusho, Complete Fardh

Hazoor Pak pbuh has said, the first matter we will lose, when the fitnah occurs is the khusho. The salah was the greatest comforter for our Prophet pbuh. When he lost his first wife, Khadijah raa and His pbuh uncle, and his pbuh enemies increased, and he pbuh had no tribe leaders who could support him like his pbuh uncle. The incident of Taif, when he pbuh tried to win some support, and was humiliated and injured, by the people in that city. Allah gave him the gift of salah to find comfort. Imagine if the fitnah in world is increasing and we will lose what will take away our biggest comfort, what state will we be in than. Trying to find another comfort. Is there anyone who can comfort us as the deen of Allah? NO. Most of those who pray, knows how difficult it is to develop khusho in salah. It is a bit like sweetness of salah. No one will be granted the sweetness of anything, unless they first do the minimum fardh. So if the state of the ummah is, that about 10 percent of us read salah 5 times a day, those who read it once in a while, will not be able to cultivate proper khusho. So we need to help each other to encourage reading the five daily prayers, everyday, no matter what.

At The Time Of Desires Or Anger

In times of anger and desire, many people are not able to control their nafs. They go out of control, and later regret. Hazoor Paak pbuh has taught us to do wudhu in times of anger and desires. That will reduce it, and give us a control back. At the same time it cleans us from our impurities, when the sins falls with the drops that goes into the sink. We need to revive the sunnah of doing wudhu and keeping wudhu. A muslim who prays, must do wudhu minimum 5 times a day. If we keep ourselves in the state of wudhu, we will also have angels accompany us. And Allah will protect us. Purity is not only for the soul and the body. We must do tawbah and repentance everyday, to clean our impurities of bad qualities in the heart. The gossiping, envy, jealousy, arrogance comes from an un-clean heart. If we clean it everyday, the good of it will be seen more often. Our deeds says a lot about the state of our heart. If we are good in public and private, it is because of a good heart, purified from bad qualities. Ya Allah grant us to win the struggle and master our effort of perfecting our tawbah and repentance every day. For us, our family, friends and all ummati. Another aspect of purity is, to keep our clothes clean from impurities. Cleaning the private part, and clothing, in a way that it stays clean and pure. If it wouldn`t have been for or Islam, would we have done this? How different stains of najasa, impurity, has to be washed. If our clothing is not clean and our wudhu not properly done, our salah will not be accepted. Keeping ourself pure, in soul, body, clothing and food, is because of what we learn from our religion.

Tools For Youth To Find Comfort

From our child turns 9, he is guided to start salah. From the reading of the daily prayers he understands cleanliness. As he turns into a teen, he will experience more fitnah, at the same type of feelings he has to understand. His body is changing. He has to find himself. Wants and dislikes, hobbies, friends. Allah didn`t make salah a fardh from year of 9 without any wisdom behind it. If your child learns to do wudhu often to get control over desires, anger in puberty. At the same time finds comfort through salah. You have helped him find a way to cope through his teens, with tools that can help him prosper. Not only is he completing the fardh, his ranks are raised because of it. He is of those who will achieve the Throne of Allah on his head, because he turned to Allah in his youth. Allah has said it himself, the way to find peace is in the remembrance of Allah. As the youth starts praying, he can increase duas. Strengthen connection with Allah through supplications. Read drud sharif to increase love of Hazoor Paak pbuh. If we manage to instill these qualities in our children. There is not much that can stand in their way of bliss in this world or the next. And when something negative happens, they can find comfort through the salah and remembering Allah. When our earnings are halal, we keep ourself pure, inside and outside, and are able to develop sufficient self control, what we say and do, especially for the youth, will be good. All this is to manage the ups and downs of life, and keep us firm on the right path. If we are not clean in our private parts, or our soul, our the clothing is not from halal money, and we eat haram food. That will have a bad effect. We will be doing and saying things that are completely prohibited. When we help the youth and give them the proper tools, and good example through our practice, help them make good habits in their life. Allah will support them and keep them pure. Encourage them to make tawbah and repentance often, to cleanse their heart, every day. Ya Allah, make it easy for us, to help the youth master the muslim tools to finding comfort, help, support. So they can become the most succesful muttaqi of imam, of their time, Aameen.

khadijahThe first wife of Prophet Muhammad pbuh, Khadijah raa supported him through difficult times in every possible way, including spending from her wealth. He pbuh is known to have acknowledged and praised Khadijah raa`s support repeatedly. Aisha raa reported that she was so irritated by Muhammad pbuh`s continuous praise of Khadijah raa, so she complained, asking why he continued to remember an old lady who was not so beautiful, when God had replaced her with a more beautiful young woman. He pbuh replied that none of his wives was like Khadijah raa, she attested to his nubuwah at a time when everyone else doubted him, she spent her wealth to support him when no one else was willing to do so, and mothered his children which no other wives did.

He pbuh honoured her even after her death, and sent gifts to her friends and relatives. After she passed away on 10th Ramadan, and his uncle passed away sometime after, he pbuh was given the salah as a gift from Allah for comfort, as his biggest source of comfort was now taken away. She was honoured with salam from Allah by hadrat Jibrael as, and promised such a palace in Paradise where she would not experience any noise and live in tranquility because that is what she provided for Prophet Muhammad pbuh, as long as they were married. During the time of prophet Muhammads pbuh `s marriage to Khadijah raa, he was not married to anyone else. She is the only wife whom had that privilege. Amongst men many attained a status of perfection; but among women only three attained such status: Asiyah, the wife of Pharaoh, Maryam, the mother of Isa /Jesus pbuh and Khadijah Bint Khuwaylid raa.

May Allah guide all women from the Ummah to be like khadijah raa to their spouse. And may Allah give the daughthers of the Ummah such a spouse that has the same conduct and character as prophet Muhammad pbuh ❤ Aameen summa aameen.

sunnah is helping around in the house, men, husband, fatherRamadan is a month to let our soul connect with Allah through ibaadah. It is important that all the family members get a chance to improve themselves, not only the men. Often the women in the house, daughter, sister, mother, wife does not get the chance to spend as much time for ibaadah because of the chores of the house. It is important that the whole family helps around, so that it doesn`t burden a few. Ramadan is not about the iftars and food we are going to eat at the end of the day, it is about getting closer to Allah and how can we possibly achieve that if we are over-burdened.

It is important that men help around the house more in ramadan. The same if you have children, keep them also busy helping. Good family ties kan only be kept from team work, we are in this together, one goal, and we help each other to do good. If ramadan is meant for us to forget the women in the house and overburdening them with our request for iftar meals, we are not living the essence of ramadan.

help me draw closer to you this ramadan. You are not the only one whom prayers are obligatory for. Your family must also pray. Make it easy for each other to pray. Give the women in your family breaks at salah time to complete the salah with khusoo and no concern for the food that is cooking. Men will be held accountable for every salah their daughters, sister, mother and wife missed or read being overburdened. Work chores can easily become family time, if we try to keep a good environment for each other. Maybe that is something that won`t make the chores that unwanted, especially by the children or teens. If these teens boys and girls are given good values from the start they will grow up and become an asset to the whole community, not only for themselves. Parents can teach them good qualities. It is vital that we give them time as the fragile age they are in. A good muslim is first and foremost good to his family. Ramadan is a time to grow spiritually. Make this a time for the whole family to help become better people and better muslims.

scale, weigh, deeds, accountableWe are all in a race this month, the race to beat ourselves in doing better deeds each day, make the prayers that are accepted an achieve a better dunya and akhirah on the way. Most of us are. I wanted to share a few points for those whom are striving to improve their ibaadah and do as much good they can.

Only To Please Allah

Every action is given reward according to its intention. So if your deeds is not the grandest but the intention of what you are doing is grand, than you can reap great rewards. Similarly, if your deed is great, read 100 voluntary prayers in 1 hour just to beat my friends who only read 90. Your intention was not to solely do the ibaadah for Allah but to do better than others. The important point to understand is that we need to ask Allah to perfect our intentions and our sincerity, Ikhlaas. This is something we all are striving with. One cure can be to hide the good deeds we do, and keep them between us and Allah. On the day of Judgment Three people will be thrown in hell first. They are a martyr, a reciter of Quran, and a wealthy person. When they are asked what their intentions were for doing these deeds, they say to please Allah. Allah whom of course can see their intentions, says that these deeds were rather done to be called courageous for the martyr, the man of knowledge wanted the people to call him a good reciter, and the wealthy wanted to be called generous.

They Are Given Signs In Their Life

The heaviest on the scale of deed on Judgement Day is good manners. Our deeds are not going to be counted as of how many they are. But they are being weighed of sincerity, intention and if salah; the khusho. To have these great qualities we have to kill our ego and think less of ourselves and more of Allah and His Greatness. With our every action. We are nothing and Allah is everything. We need to fully understand whom we are doing it for and why. For instance, often people say, you were given that and that blessing because you deserved it. I don`t understand this as the pure truth. If you have a father that is a millionaire. Obviously when you have a lot of wealth you will live wealthy, with expensive things. If this father has a son, who lends his fathers expensive car and goes on a trip with his friends. Showing off that he can buy this car. He is ascribing the car to himself. The same way, if we are breathing right now, it is not because we have done something amazing in the eyes of Allah, that He is giving us these breaths. Allah has given us this life to test us, to see whom are His submissive slaves, that are patient when he withholds and grateful when He gives. Our vehicle, wealth, children, status, spouse, beauty is given from Allah. He wants to know if we will use it for good or bad. Can you say that Hitler deserved the breaths he was given by Allah, even though he killed so many jews? Can you say that Bush deserved his breath although he started a war against innocent people, just because of 9/11. I`m sure no religion justifies killing innocent people in their scriptures. These leaders were given the position they had because Allah was testing them. Allah gives wealth, livestock, beauty in abundance to people who doesn`t believe in Him. This is a test for them. They are given signs throughout their life to help them turn to Allah, some are put astray even more than before others are guided, even though they have failed sometimes.

We Are Forgiven Because Of Allah`s Rahma, Not Because Of Our Deeds

On judgement Day there will be two men that are going to be questioned in front of Allah. One of them has used all his life to do good deeds and is very proud of himself. As he is given Jannah, he walks were slowly towards his destination. Meanwhile another person has done wrong deeds all his life, and is sentenced to a life in Hell. This person is running towards hell with speed. So Allah stops both and asks them why they walk as they do. The one with great deeds comes in a discussion and says he deserves Jannah because of his good deeds. So Allah says, ok, lets weigh them. This is a person whom has utilized all his life doing good deeds. When his deeds are weighed they don`t even weigh as much as the blessing of the eyesight of one of his eyes. So he is thrown in Hell because he believed in himself rather than Allah`s Mercy. The other person will be asked why he was running so fast. He will answer that he is so ashamed of himself that he didn`t obey any of Allah’s commandments in Dunya so he thinks for himself that, he will at least obey this command, so he hastened for his punishment in Hell. Because of this Allah forgave him and gave him Jannah. Even our Prophet Muhammad pbuh has said, if it wasn`t for Allah’s rahma on him, even he wouldn`t be forgiven his sins. And he pbuh is the perfect of all people. Where do we stand whom disobey Allah and sometimes obey Him.

sitting with poor and fortunate people removes the ego of the heartPraise Can Make Us Forget Our Faults

When shaytan can not make us sin, he makes us waste time or puts self-thoughts in our mind. A man once came to see the Prophet. He wasn`t let in to him at once. Ayesha raa told him pbuh who it was. Prophet Muhammad said: “that is a bad person”. When he came in the Prophet pbuh was even nicer to him than the other people whom are good that he pbuh usually are nice to. So after he had left, the mother of believers, Ayesha raa asked him, why he was so well-treated when he was so bad. He pbuh answered because he could have harmed us by spreading bad stuff about us, through poetry or etc, so to prevent that from happening, he pbuh pleased him by his manners that he went happily. On the contrary there is another hadith that says that those that please other in their face, break their neck, in example make proudness grow in them and therefore destroy their deeds. If we want to praise some people because of their remarkable work, do it in a way that doesn`t make him/her feel proud, but at the same time makes them feel appreciated. When other praise us, it is important that we don`t get blind to what they say either, often it is sugar-coated. If we are sincere to ourselves and evaluate ourselves and know how we really are. Whenever some people praise us, we would actually hate them, because they don`t know us the way we know ourselves. We would rather love those who gently guide us to our faults because then we would find some points that needs improvement. Insight in our own deeds would never allow us to become proud. Knowing that good deeds come from Allah`s guidance and not necessarily because we are worthy of doing them, is also something that helps us keep us humble.

Make Dua In A Language You Understand

It is easy to understand that the more you know what you are reciting the more asr it would have on you. If we keep on reading the salah, without comprehending on the translation, we will not be able to build our khusho, concentration in salah. How can our intentions and our sincerity be on top if we don`t understand what we are saying. Making dua in your own language helps and taking baby-steps to understand what surah`s are saying will help also.

The Opposite Of Each Other

We have discussed that is not the deed itself but the intention behind it, that matters. One hadith that portrays that in a beautiful way is of a man who comes to a place with his camel and wants to pray. He is looking for something to tie his camel to. He doesn`t find it so he makes it himself, to help other that would need the same at this place. Some time after a man comes and sees this thing in the sand, where other might have tied their camel. He is afraid of it hurting some people if they don`t see it while they are passing it. So to save others for the hurt, he takes it out of the ground. Both are given a good deed for what they did, even though they did the opposite of each other. It is because of their intention for the deed was correct.

The Grandest Deed Can Be Rejected

Imagine you want to feed the poor and hungry, but you don`t have that much money. So instead of earning money, you steal from the rich to give to the poor, ala robin hood. Even though the deed is great, and has immense reward in the eyes of Allah, since it is forbidden to steal, you won`t get any reward, but rather bad deeds for it.

Few Points To Reap The Reward

  1. Intention for the deed. You are doing this only for Allah to please Him not so that other will praise you or think good of you.
  2. Avoid praising others. It can develop proudness in them.
  3. Sincerity. Our deeds are weighed not counted. It wouldn`t help to read fifty voluntary prayers if you don`t have any concentration in them. Rather read two with full concentration/khusho.
  4. The blessings in our life are from Allah, we are not given them because we deserve them, but because He will test us. The same way we are tested when He takes something away from us or afflicts us in a trial.
  5. Allah likes the repentant sinner more than those that are arrogant because they have done good deeds.
  6. Without Allah`s guidance and we having a heart that accepts guidance, we can become lost at any time.
  7. Understanding the meaning of the words in salah and supplications increases the sincerity and khusho. Being heedless of what we are reciting does the opposite.
  8. Even though the deed is seen as great, if the means of achieving it is haram, you won`t reap any reward, but rather bad deeds.

deen, dunya 1It`s important that we don`t forget where we came from. Often you see people having nice cars or clothes and they are like in heaven 9 because it. That is a good thing and a bad thing. If you can afford it, yes buy the things you need, but there is no need to be extravagant. Don`t overdo it. That rule should be applied in every aspect of our life.

Sometimes you know people achieve a lot of success. Like new car, great job, beautiful wife/husband etc. If we don`t use these things to make our akhirah better, they are of no use. For instance, you use that nice car and go to mosques nearby and far away, to join the salah and other of their activities. The same car can also be used to go clubbing at parties. You have this great job, where you are making a difference by helping people in need. Or it could cause you to work that you forget the salah in the day. You may have a beautiful wife/husband that may treat you like a treasure, but are they making you come closer to Allah or making you skip the salah and other important obligations you have as a muslim/muslimah. Your spouse can be your ticket to hell or jannah. It`s in your own hands. Are you making choice that bring you closer to Paradise, or are you too much occupied in this world. We are not going to be here forever. Are you going to choose deen over dunya or dunya over deen? What you choose today, is going to affect the rest of your life, and maybe eternity. Be wise ❤ ❤

Some people think that the world has had so much progress. We are living in the 21 century and have the newest technologies. Different countries are so behind us in the west. Life is so much easier and better now than what it was before. What we see as a progress could also be regression. Just think. People living in asia or africa. They may not have and iPhone, iPad, Facebook, twitter or laptop, but they have each other. When we see these children they have the brightest smiles and are laughing and hugging each other. If you see the same age group in any country in the west, most of them are busy with their iPhone, Samsung and forget the most important stuff, just to talk together and be present in the moment.

deen, dunyaAnother point I would want to emphasize is what kind of society are we living in. Is it as advanced and good as we think it is? There is more cases of people who are depressed or suicidal and an increasing number of people with mental diseases. We have everything materialistic but not that much tranquility/sakina. Family structure has changed. Lesser joint family system. More people who live alone and are lonely. People are busy with their stuff and think that they have it all. If we look back in time when the Prophet pbuh lived he and the following generations of tabieen after him pbuh they experienced real contentment in their life. They didn`t own that much but were rich of heart. They had better manners than what we do nowadays. They had faith like a rock, nothing could move it, with firm believe in the afterlife. They maintained good relations with their relatives. Families lived together. They were people of great character. THEY had it all.

It all depends of the set of values that are important to you. What we see as development could actually be regression. To achieve those heights as the sahaba and tabieen we need to go back to our roots. We need to choose deen over dunya. Only then will we prosper in this world and the next. May Allah help us and guide us. Ameen summa ameen.

My Prayer..

“O Allah, place light in my heart, and on my tongue light, and in my ears light and in my sight light, and above me light, and below me light, and to my right light, and to my left light, and before me light and behind me light. Place in my soul light. Magnify for me light, and amplify for me light. Make for me light and make me a light. O Allah, grant me light, and place light in my nerves, and in my body light and in my blood light and in my hair light and in my skin light.” Ameen
