There is a reason why Allah had to state explicitly whom we can interact with and whom it is not allowed for us to interact with, whom we are allowed to marry and whom we can’t marry, when and whom we need to have a hijab in front, and whom we do not need this.

In the time before quran (islam) those souls transgressed into sin and ruined their lives. So Allah had to make it clear for them, how they could save their souls. Ya Allah, protect us from going back to the practice of the time of jahiliyah. Aamen. Ya Allah, help every ummati out of their ignorance into the guidance of Islam. Aamen

There are many big issues in our communities. We have some problems that are in the way of these issues being solved. The issue is that imams doesn`t always address the problems we are facing in these communities. If we want a change, we have to be bold and address the problem to the leaders of the mosques, who again address it to the muslim in their gatherings and friday prayers. There can be many reasons for this. I will try to highlight those I can see.

Troubles Of The Community

For years I`ve thought that the issue about the masajid is that they don`t know about the issues, because the imams are brought here from back home. But that is not the only reason. The imams can`t always decide what issue to bring up. And they need to be backed by the rest of the staff in the mosque. If there arises any kind of tension between the imam and the staff, the mosque can easily remove the imam from his position. The second reason is that, many times the imams that come from back home, doesn`t know enough about the troubles in the communities in the west, and how to approach the people about it. When they so fail to talk about many important matters, the communities suffers, because people become worse and worse.

If Treatment Is Delayed

If we look abroad, to the United states, many of their imams are either born there or brought up there and later in life, sought education and come back to the US. These people know the culture, how to say something. And what need to be said. And to whom. They can easily talk to the media, and clear any misconceptions in the society about Islam. They have become role-models / opinion leaders for muslims in their community. Even non-muslims listen to what they have to say. We can use the example of the person whom takes a patient from one place in the hospital to another place in the hospital. If he doesn`t know how to get to the other rom within the given time, the patient might not get proper treatment within the time he/she needs it. And the health of the patient could get worse, or he /she could die. “Portøren” know the roads within the hospital inside out. And the health of the patient, depends on it.

How To Address The Community?

The imam is the spiritual advisor, Who has both the right education and the right practice. How tough it must be for someone with such a position who sees something wrong and can`t address it, because of the pressure from the community. It`s always been like this. When someone says something bad about others, it`s like “way to go, great”. If someone says something bad about ourself, we`re like “I`m never going back there again”. That`s why knowing the subject to talk about is not enough, how to address it to the people, so that they accept it and want to make the change, how they willingly can internalize the good conduct in their life. The imams would need to know how to break down the info to the people in the way, that they will not entirely reject it, but slowly feel motivated to change themselves.

Don`t Turn A Blind Eye To The Issues

Think about the consequences for the society we are living in. It`s like a leader for all doctors of the city, whom can`t adress the plague everyone is affected of, because he /she is afraid, the mob will kill him / her, or make it difficult to live in the same town. This doctor duty is to protect the whole community and wants them to keep themselves clean to not only prevent the plague from spreading but also to cure those already infected. An imam sort of has the same responsibility, on the more spiritual ground. He need to help the spiritual sick muslims from their sicknesses. To tell them their sick to their faces, might prevent them from coming in the mosque. He needs to break it down in a way he can reach out to their hearts, and help them change. The imam has to be diplomatic and know the culture inside out, about how to say something. The language does also play a role in this. Eventually our knowledge of our mother tongue is decreasing. A few more, generations and the children might not know how to talk it anymore. These issues are crucial for the communities well-being. If we will turn a blind eye to them, the spiritual sicknesses is already harming the people. We need to prevent that. We need to protect the children also and the following generations. The spiritual sickness has become normalized, that we don`t know that we are sick. Don`t kill the people sending the right messages. Instead try to find out, from the right sources, if there is any truth to what they are speaking about. Ya Allah, grant every ummati to win the struggle of supporting good matters and forbidding evil matters. Aamen. Ya Allah, help us solve the problems addressed here, as soon as possible, to help the community from further sufferings. Aamen.

The beauty of Islam, is the vastness of the Mercy our Lord has for us. When we sincerely repent, make tawbah, our past sins are erased from our record, we become as pure as a child. The sign of us avoiding sinfulness again, is a sign of Allah accepting our repentence. Allah knows we are weak. Allah wants to help us. So Allah has told us keep good company. They won’t let you sin, and avoid sins themselves also. They remember Allah frequently, and remind you when you forget. They motivate you to learn and practice deen. They are at peace, and their presence increase peace.

What We Avoid.

Who we spend time with tells a lot about us. Our friends. Those we choose to connect with. Who we decide to avoid, also says a lot about us. If we avoid those who are doing good, and spend time with those who invite to evil, it will be difficult to change for the better. If we instead, do what we can, to join events that has khair in it, we will also benefit from it’s goodness. First priority after guidance is to keep us on the right path through the ups and downs of our life. We have to work proactively for it, to keep increasing in imaan and good character. We can’t accomplish that, without good company.

How To Prepare For A Marathon

If we don’t keep training our running abilities, after a month, our endurance will decrease. The next marathon, we will have a lower score. After we learn any kind of ability. We have to work to become better and increase our work for the next level, and so on. To improve. Our guiders our teachers boost us with confidence, knowledge and wisdom, and we are motivated to work harder to grow in our qualities as a muslim, and increase our practice of our deen. Allah doesn’t look at our results. He rewards us according to our struggle. Only He knows how much we are struggling to come closer to Him (Allah). That is exactly why, each and every muslim has a great chance of becoming a “friend of Allah”. Everyone has different challenges/abilites. Allah wants us to perfect our ikhlas and niyah in our struggle, and do what good we can within our capabilities (means).

Unique Qualities But The Same Goal

Just imagine, if we all were alike and had the same trouble at the same time? Whom would be able to help each other, when we are struggling with the same matter at the same time? Thanks to Allah, He created us unique, no one matches another. Because we are so individually gifted in different qualities, we can help each other prosper together. For example fla fla is good in writing. Fla fla is good in delivering speech. When they team up, one of them writes the speech, the other one perfectly delivers it, and they are able to make a good difference, by them teaming up for a good cause. So there is goodness in our unique-ness.

Catching The Cold Or Remain Healthy

When we stop growing, our endurance, qualities remain the same, or becomes worse. Time does not wait for anyone. Changes in fashion, knowledge, science, internet, stock market is rapid. When we try to keep us updated in the matters that are important for us (connected to our religion) we become more aware of what is happening in our community / country. The good and the bad. Even if we aren’t a part of everything. We can’t fight a disease without knowing about it. On the other side, we can’t feel thankfulness, if we don’t know how blessed we are. The first thing that helps us grow, is having self-insight. We are not perfect. We are not all bad, either. By learning about our mistakes, we can help ourselves and each other in overcoming them. Or protecting us and our loved ones from “catching the cold”.

O Blessed Souls, Enter Highest Paradise

Make sincere tawbah. Spend time with people who are good friends of akhirah. Grow in your abilities. Team up with those who have same goals. Avoid bad influence. Make a change were you live. Allah will reward you according to your struggle. Just keep checking on your niyah and ikhlas. We are doing good for the sake of Allah. And that He will forgive us. And enjoin us in highest paradise, because of our efforts. Aamen. Ya Allah, make it easy for us to join good events with khair. Make us prosper in both worlds. Aamen. Ya Allah, help us avoid places and events You dislike. Make us become our best version, in what You (Allah) wants us to accomplish. Aamen.

you-need-allahIt is somewhat tragical funny that sometimes people laugh of adults who behave childish. A dai once said: if you ask 10 women with the same clothing to sit the same place, and ask a 2-year-old who his/her mother is, the child will find her. We know how much a child loves his mother. His/her mother is everything for the child. Our Maker, our Creator, our Lord, our God Allah, loves us more than 70 mothers. I must say, people invite us to believe in who they think is our god. Aren’t we behaving like child, when in all these different religions, gods people believe in, we are not able to find our true God. How can we say that we are intellectuals, masters/bachelors degree, when we don’t know our true purpose, or who made us come to this world. See the signs. Believe in the signs. Comprehend, where is all this from? A person whom haven’t yet realized who his/her true Creator is, is worse than a little child, who understands his life. I must say, how tragically childish, indeed.

My Knowledge Of Advance Mathematics

I`ve had lectures in university. I have a master degree from their in fla fla subject etc. I can easily within minutes solve this difficult equation on this and that advanced level etc. The fla fla we are using as an example here, have probably spent over 20-25 years of his/her life to gain this knowledge. To spend rest of his/her life using this knowledge for further development in his/her success. For a worldly gain, we sacrifice this much time throughout our life. A gain that might, if Allah wills, last a 100 years, if we live that long. But yet when there comes to the gain of the afterlife, where we will live forever, for eternity. Allah knows how long one day will be, or one month. Maybe the time will be different from how time is in the world. Allah has said that the day of judgement will be like 50 years for a disbeliever and like the time between asr and maghrib for a believer. From this we can assume that time will be counted differently in our hereafter, based on our belief in this world. Are we really an intelligent person, when we can`t calculate how to work for a good eternity. FIrst, understand it, and most of all, also live to gain it. How can we not see, how important it is to have this worry, for how our souls life will be, after our death. Our body might live for a 100 years, but our souls life is for eternity. Shouldn`t it be a priority in our life to find out how we can make our eternal abode, a blessed place?

A 8 month old child. When his/her diaper gets filled with poop and urine. At once he/she starts to cry. The child’s mother will hear the voice and come to the child. Since the child is unable to communicate what is wrong, she will check 5 matters:
1. Is he/she hungry?
2. Must his /her diaper get changed?
3. Is he/she hurting somewhere?
4. Is he /she cold / warm somewhere?
5. Is he/she wet somewhere

The Child Is More Intelligent Than The Parent

After finding out that the diaper needed to be changed. The mother will do that. Just as she has finished changing the diaper, she will see the mood change of the child. The child will start, laughing, smiling or just stop crying. If none of the other points also are disturbing the child. An 8 month old child, feels uneasy, when he/she is un-clean. It dislikes it, and shows negative emotions. I dare say, this child under 1 year is more intelligent than most people nowadays. I mean like, when we talk about average people. It is very few who cleans their private parts thoroughly after going to the toilet. Most people only use toilet paper. Many goes around for years, with the bacteria of urine and stools on their private parts. I don`t know, how they can think that when they have taken a shower, they smell good, so they are clean. They think that smelling good is equal to clean. When in fact, they are not clean, and have been unclean for years. The little child of 8 months, is feeling un-easy when his diaper is dirty. The child has understood cleanliness, better than his parents.

An adults Understanding

An adult doesn`t understand that him/her being un-clean after being to the toilet, will have an impact on him/her feelings/mood/conduct etc as long as he/she doesn`t do anything about it. Many non-muslims could have been living like this for years. In Islam, keeping yourself clean is half of your faith. A practising muslim, will make wudu at least 5 times a day. Or maybe keep it all day. Most muslims are aware over that what you eat and your cleanliness, has an impact over how you will behave. In other words, if we eat something, un-clean/haram like some meat from pig, and when they on top of this doesn`t clean themselves. This will have a bad effect on their heart, spirituality and their conduct and character. How can we claim that we are intelligent because of our master / bachelor degrees, when we don`t understand the importance of clean food and clean body. In addition, muslims doesn`t limit their cleanliness to the body, we also talk about the cleanliness of the heart, and the soul. The cleanliness of the heart, is to keep our heart free from diseases like, envy, jealousy, bad-ghomani, chugli, arrogance, not being able to stop oneself from committing sins, and not stopping others from committing sins. When we keep our heart at a good state, working to get rid of the diseases, we also are able to develop/improve our spirituality and the quality of our ibaadah and deeds in our life. it is mustahab for a person to do ghusl at least one time a week, fridays. When we do ghusl, a spiritual bath, we clean our soul. It is obligatory for a muslim to keep his heart, body and soul clean. Someone who strives for this and succeeds will be a good muslim, in sha Allah. It is truly very sad to see people un-aware of the real issues about cleanliness. Wrong prorities in life and busy schedule has made them neglect it. Awareness is half done. If those who practice these sunnah`s try to talk about it, in a gentle manner, maybe we are able to help people understand, why and how it can help them and improve the quality and reward of their deeds. May Allah make it easy for us. Aameen.

I Cry In My Heart

When some people make jokes about some adults being childish. It hurts. How wrong they are. If we only could help non-muslims and non-practising muslims understand, that behaving childish in some situation is not the definition of immature. A person whom can`t find his/her way to his Creator, is a child. In other words, those who doesn`t know their Creator, or live by his commandments are children. And truly matureness comes with believing and practising the true religion. Because than you will make good decisions for your life and hereafter. A definition of an adult can be one who knows how to live a good life, make good choices in life, on his/her own. Having knowledge of something is almost half of doing it. We can try to not only focus on knowledge of the brain, but focus on knowledge of the heart. A heart will not accept good information unless it is a good and sound heart. That is why we do dhikr. To purify the heart. It`s not a once in a year quest. To achieve a pure heart, we need to do dhikr every day. There is no elevator to success. We have to take the stairs, one step at a time. In dhikr mehfil we learn that educating the head without educating the heart is not education at all. We can only find our true purpose, when we try to correct our heart. It is not enough to have knowledge. Only by practising = wisdom, of the knowledge we have, can we say with deeds, not only words, that yes, we truly do believe in the good effects of cleanliness. May Allah make it easy for us to understand. Aameen.

tumhaari-thaukaron-se-taaj-paaye-tajdaron-neHazoor Paak pbuh has said a muslim is a mirror to another muslim, when he /she sees anything wrong in it, he / she tells him / her. Often times when we are low in imaan, we dislike being advised from others. When anyone corrects us, we are greatly wounded. We forget that part of being a muslim is not only want yourself to prosper but also others. When someone corrects us, the sunnah way, we can try to immediately think that it is part of our faith. And those who have strong faith, they correct others, within their means. The weak-faithed think of the sin as bad only in their heart, and dis-allow themselves to correct anyone.

How Dhikr Helped Me

Dhikr is something that changed me in many ways and helped me deal with my heart. Often times we have knowledge of what deeds are sinful and what deeds are rewarding. Still we don`t manage to save ourselves from the bad stuff. The issue here is, as I have learned in dhikr mehfil, that if our heart is not good, no matter how much good information we have knowledge of, our actions will not change according to it. To be able to act upon the good we know and here in mehfil in the mosque etc, we need to have a good, sound heart. The only way to achieve that is first repentance, with following dhikr of Allah. Slowly we will be able to clean our heart for all kind of bad qualities and become receptive of good advice and gentle and firm corrections. That is the only way. There is no shortcut to success. Everyone has to take the stairs. In other words, it is recommended to do dhikr of Allah every day. As repentance cleanses the heart and dhikr polishes it.

When Your Heart Reminds You

When we are low in imaan, we have to drag ourselves to prayer and other good deeds. Our imaan increases by doing good deeds, and decreases by doing bad deeds. If you keep yourself motivated and make yourself do good deeds, even though you don`t feel like it. If you are consistent in doing this, one day your heart, soul will remind you of the good deeds you need to do. You will not be able to have peace without having done those good deeds.

Change Your Focus Towards The Quran

Self-motivation, self-empowering is the key. We can`t always rely on others, when we are down. Of course others also have increasing and decreasing imaans. Whenever we are down, turn to Allah`s book, read surah`s, listen to famous reciters. It will change your focus, whenever you forget. Nothing makes the soul and heart happy and content as the speech of Allah.

Choose The Company Of Wisdomful Muslims

If you feel you are not able to do as good deeds as you want to. Change your company. Sometimes we don`t realize that others heartbreaking comments about our deen does have a bad effect on us. In other words, surround yourself with people who not only have the knowledge of Islam but most importantly, also have wisdom of it. In other words, their knowledge is rooted in their actions. They don`t only talk about the salah but also know about tactics of how to increase concentration in salah and ibaadah. They don`t only talk about the strength of Hazoor Paak pbuh and his followers ra but they have also gained these strengths themselves.

Does It Change Your Behaviour?

I have learned from dhikr mehfils, that often time, we go to gatherings where special islamic days are celebrated. When we sit there our hearts are filled with imaan. When we leave the gathering and come home, almost the most of it is forgotten, and life is the same as before we went there. What I have learned through dhikr mehfil is that, if the gathering doesn`t change your behaviour for the better. Than what is the point of going there. For example, in his dars the imaam sahib is talking about the bad effects of gheebat, chugli, bohtan, envy and other diseases of the heart. He explains that we must get rid of it, because it destroys our good deeds. What effect has the information had on anyone, when minutes after the gathering is finished, we start doing these deeds. Inside the mosque? If good knowledge doesn`t have any effect on us, maybe our heart must be cleaned and the advisors has to be wisdomful advisors, in other words, themselves also living according to the advice they are giving. Or else the time will be wasted, by the attendees and the imaam.

Few Pointers To Summarize:

1. Surround yourself with good people.
2. Work on your heart with repentance and dhikr.
3. When you gain knowledge work to gain the wisdom by internalizing it in your conduct.
4. Self-empowerment. Self-motivation. Don`t rely on others. Turn to Allah, through Quran, sunnah.
5. Constantly work on the qualities of your heart. There is no other way to prosper. Advice has no effect without qalbe-salim.
6. Your imaan will decrease and increase. It is inevitable. Learn how to recognize the signs of low imaan, to protect yourself from it.
7. Allah`s mercy is greater than His wrath. Mistakes are inevitable. Allah forgives all sins. Turn to Allah every time and re-start your life.

Ya Allah, Help Us, Help Ourselves. Aameen.

May Allah grant a heart that has a good balance between fear of Him and Love of Him. Grant us a heart that accepts advice. Grant us a heart that is firm on Your path, Islam. Don`t let our hearts, souls deviate from your seeratul-mustaqim. Grant us knowledge and wisdom of deen and dunya, so that we can prosper in both. Grant us your khaas qurbat and Hazoor Paak pbuh khaas hazoori, rehnomai and rohaniyat. Cleanse our heart, soul and eyes, and grant us a khaas reflection of Hazoor Paak pbuh in all of these. Aameen summa aameen.

coal hand islamMost people talk bad about women that wear hijab. Without lifting an eyebrow about women in their life, who not only doesn`t wear hijab, but also pluck eyebrows and wear perfume. These women, girls are not looked by men with good intentions.

Most people talk bad about women that avoid mix gatherings or places where there is played music. Without lifting an eyebrow about the people who think that music uplifts them. Most of who seek places where they easily can interact with the other gender. This is most people idea of having fun.

Most people backbite women who avoid certain arrangements and tv-channels even if they are for women only. While they don`t mind that many of the places, even at islamic programs, there is a lot of noise and most people are backbiting and many muslims are making fun of others.

Most people talk bad about people who care about what they eat, every ingredients so that they don`t eat anything that is not allowed. They can use a lot of time finding the right restaurant or checking the ingredients in all foods. Or questioning the employee about this. While they care little of those who eat all kinds of meat, and all kinds of food, and never dare to question for a second time if the food actually is halal. Disregarding, caring little for that the food they eat has an impact on their behaviour.

Most people think those who are always speaking the truth, are foolish, because it gets them into trouble. While they don`t care for the fact that the angels doesn`t like to company people who lies.

Most people make fun of many sunnah`s of the Prophet Muhammad pbuh. The sad part is that most of them doesn`t know that making fun of any parts of Islam, can take you/ and your children, further away from it. How can your claim of loving the prophet pbuh be true, while you make fun of his simple life-style.

Most people doesn`t like paying much money, when it comes to learning the deen, attending online courses or buying books. While they can utilize many thousands in buying a new car/ house/ vacation just to impress their friends.

Most people doesn`t get impressed by conduct/ knowledge/ hikmah/ in deen or people who takes practicing Islam seriously. They get impressed by bank-balance, expensive cars, big houses, mobile phones and clothing from expensive brands. Non of which will help them attain jannah.

Instead of looking with disgust at people who are trying to be more practicing, we should actually give these people a break. Today many people say that people force other muslims to practice Islam. Where? As I see it, the community, so-called muslims by name, are making it difficult for practicing muslims, to practice Islam, as it came. Instead of pointing fingers at people you don`t know. Try to understand certain people by what they are avoiding. Maybe we can understand them more after that.
