Jab ham koi baat me vazn chahte hon, tou Islam ka nazariya samne lane ki koshish karte hai. Kisi ache amal, achi baat mein asr lane keliye uspe khud uska amal hona bohot zarori hai. Theek aise hi, jab koi kisi ko namaz ki dawat dein, to wo khud be-namazi na ho. Aksar kaha jata hai, ke aanso ka matlab hai ke dil narm hai. Yaha thori si clarification ki zarorat shayd hai. Aanso ko sirf Allah vazan kar sakte hai. Lekin phir bhi, koi tou pehchan hogi? Kounsa aanso asli, kounsa aanso nakli? Niyat aur ikhlas to zarori he hi. Lekin ek aur baat bhi hai, jise nazar andaz nahi kar sakte. Aamen.

At work. As doctors, advocates, engineers. We are often very proud of ourselves when we attain some kind of position in society. People who achieve some kind of business or work, with a big salary didn`t come to that point themselves. They probably had many people backing them up. First of all their parents, their siblings, their good friends, and those teachers that guided them to make good decisions in life. Without these people they wouldn`t have been where they are today. Not only these people. Also other people who backed them when they were in difficulty. Prayed for them when they had some kind of troubles. Not only elders. It could have been a supplication of someone whom you hardly know. The same goes when it comes to something good or bad happening in your life, that turns your heart towards Your Creator. When your heart already yearns for Your Creator, you only need a little help, to walk, to join the right path. A muslim brother or sister who encouraged you to pray, a spiritual teacher who helped you remember Allah. and the list goes on.

Each Who Helped Us

Most of these people I have talked about in this text, helped you unconditionally. They expected nothing in return. They helped thinking of you, not themselves. It is very important, that when we achieve some kind of position, that we don`t forget these gems. These gems, who helped us, when we were lost, and needed good advice. They saw the potential in us, when we didn`t believe in us, as much as we do today. The best we can do is, be with them and help them, and do good for them. If that is not possible, than at least pray for them. Supplicate for them, every day. I would certainly not have been where I am today, without those people who believed in me, throughout my life. Ya Allah, have mercy on those who has helped without me knowing it, and while me knowing it. Ya Allah, each who has helped me while me knowing it, or while me not knowing it, grant them infinite blessings in both worlds. Aamen. In every one of every infinite blessing, grant them infinite new blessings of both worlds. Aamen. Guide us to the right path, and keep us firm on the right path. Aamen. Without doubt, Allah is able to do all things. I put my trust in my and your Creator. Allah will suffice me. Aamen. Protect me from those I know are bad for me, and protect me from those I don’t know are bad for me. Accept this for every ummati. Aamen

the worst loneliness is being without allahI was so far away from Allah. I had people around me. Friends, family, job, life. But being far away from Allah, it felt like dead. Like something is dead inside of me. I was afraid of my own shadow. My own hand. No one helped me to find Allah. Not as much as I needed Allah. I had to struggle to find Him. To come close to Him. To treasure Him. To struggle to achieve His Love.

Like The Air I Breathe

Now that I see other people who are far away from His Path. I feel so bad. I want to hug them to tell them. No matter what rizk you have in life, you will never be satisfied if you are far away from Allah. I know how hard it is to struggle, to find Him. I want to give out a hand for those who have no one to help them to find Him. Because I know how it feels like to not have Him. It hurts, it pains. I don`t know what to say than this: Find your way back to Him. No happiness is any happiness without Him. No kind of rizk, blessing will ever be a blessing without Him. All beings need Allah more than we need this air we are breathing. When we are not aware of this need, and not struggling to get near Him. Than we are truly lost. Whatever good or bad will happen in our life, we will be lost.

Worth Less Than Zero

If we have Allah, whatever good or bad happens in our life, we will succeed. The biggest treasure is not this dunya or anything in it. The biggest treasure is to love Allah, and struggle to live true to His cause, the way He wants us to live. That is how, in the moment you might lose everything, if you have Allah, and You love him, He can give you contentment in your heart, also at that moment. But if you win the dunya, and lose your faith in Him, no matter how big gain you think you have, all of it is worth, less than zero. Having faith, imaan, is everything. Without faith, imaan in Allah, we will be in loss forever. May Allah help us to preserve it and help other souls find their way back to him. If they only understood, how important this matter is for them. They would have taken out time for it. May Allah helps us find our way back to Him. Aameen.

coal hand islamMost people talk bad about women that wear hijab. Without lifting an eyebrow about women in their life, who not only doesn`t wear hijab, but also pluck eyebrows and wear perfume. These women, girls are not looked by men with good intentions.

Most people talk bad about women that avoid mix gatherings or places where there is played music. Without lifting an eyebrow about the people who think that music uplifts them. Most of who seek places where they easily can interact with the other gender. This is most people idea of having fun.

Most people backbite women who avoid certain arrangements and tv-channels even if they are for women only. While they don`t mind that many of the places, even at islamic programs, there is a lot of noise and most people are backbiting and many muslims are making fun of others.

Most people talk bad about people who care about what they eat, every ingredients so that they don`t eat anything that is not allowed. They can use a lot of time finding the right restaurant or checking the ingredients in all foods. Or questioning the employee about this. While they care little of those who eat all kinds of meat, and all kinds of food, and never dare to question for a second time if the food actually is halal. Disregarding, caring little for that the food they eat has an impact on their behaviour.

Most people think those who are always speaking the truth, are foolish, because it gets them into trouble. While they don`t care for the fact that the angels doesn`t like to company people who lies.

Most people make fun of many sunnah`s of the Prophet Muhammad pbuh. The sad part is that most of them doesn`t know that making fun of any parts of Islam, can take you/ and your children, further away from it. How can your claim of loving the prophet pbuh be true, while you make fun of his simple life-style.

Most people doesn`t like paying much money, when it comes to learning the deen, attending online courses or buying books. While they can utilize many thousands in buying a new car/ house/ vacation just to impress their friends.

Most people doesn`t get impressed by conduct/ knowledge/ hikmah/ in deen or people who takes practicing Islam seriously. They get impressed by bank-balance, expensive cars, big houses, mobile phones and clothing from expensive brands. Non of which will help them attain jannah.

Instead of looking with disgust at people who are trying to be more practicing, we should actually give these people a break. Today many people say that people force other muslims to practice Islam. Where? As I see it, the community, so-called muslims by name, are making it difficult for practicing muslims, to practice Islam, as it came. Instead of pointing fingers at people you don`t know. Try to understand certain people by what they are avoiding. Maybe we can understand them more after that.

dawa is a an art, dealing with heartsWhen inviting others to Islam, it is important that we don’t scare others away. By telling the hard-core truth, at every start. The dai most talk such sentences he/she thinks will touch hearts. By slowly make people think and evaluate their life, where they are heading, and where they can be. Same people are motivated by positive talk/scary talk/inspirational talk, but at different times in their life. If we tell an already depressed person, you’re going to hell (scary talk), he/she will be more scared, probably too depressed to change. Hence he/she needs to be inspired with motivational positive talk.

Give Insight In Their Situation

An arrogant, wicked evil person, might carry on his works if we don’t scare him/her of the punishments. So maybe a tad more talks about how big Allah is (rehman/jabbar). Even the Quran speaks about everything in saying if you do this you will go to hell. The sentence after is positive, but if you do this you’ll go to paradise. Or vice versa. Allah’s speaking like this is of His Wisdom. Maybe to scare people from doing wrong without them loosing hope in Allah’s forgiveness. If they do good, no matter what happens in dunya, they will attain a good hereafter. If they do evil in dunya, no matter the outcome here, there hereafter will be full of punishments.

They Might Persist In Their Wrongdoing

Prophet Muhammad pbuh always changed his dawa style according to the one he was addressing. We are different, and get scared or inspired/motivated differently. Once there was a man at the door of the Prophet pbuh. His wife Aisha raa came to tell him pbuh who it was. He pbuh said, this is an evil person. When he came inside and they talked together he pbuh was nicer than he usually is with other people. After the man went, his wife Aisha raa was curious of why he pbuh was so nice to him, when he was so evil. He pbuh said because if he would be harsher, that person because of his evilness, could harm his pbuh, by telling evil stories to others, and helping them get spread easily. So to protect himself pbuh had to be nicer. We also know by another hadith that we can`t be to harsh with evil people. Or else they will just persist in their wrongdoings. Do you remember the hadith about the man who killed 99 people. He killed the monk that told him he had no chance for forgiveness. In Islam there is always a way back, because of Allah’s vast forgiveness.

Understand The Audience

When a dai says yes to speak in a gathering in different countries, he/she has to find out something about the audience to know what to say or how to say something, or what needs to be thoroughly explained, what are their issues/problems, what are their good qualities. This is psychology. A dai can`t give examples of entrepeneurs in a gathering of doctors. They won`t relate to it. And the vice versa. To touch hearts we have to talk about something that catches their attention and will keep them listening and focused at the same time touch their heart to help them change for the better. It is not easy. But most dais are doing an excellent job. Ma sha Allah. May Allah give them aafia and barakah in their lives and success in their work for Allah. Aameen. For us to give the same dawa to everyone, everyone had to be the same. We know that we are all different. So we have to adjust the sail according to where we want to go.

scale, weigh, deeds, accountableWe are all in a race this month, the race to beat ourselves in doing better deeds each day, make the prayers that are accepted an achieve a better dunya and akhirah on the way. Most of us are. I wanted to share a few points for those whom are striving to improve their ibaadah and do as much good they can.

Only To Please Allah

Every action is given reward according to its intention. So if your deeds is not the grandest but the intention of what you are doing is grand, than you can reap great rewards. Similarly, if your deed is great, read 100 voluntary prayers in 1 hour just to beat my friends who only read 90. Your intention was not to solely do the ibaadah for Allah but to do better than others. The important point to understand is that we need to ask Allah to perfect our intentions and our sincerity, Ikhlaas. This is something we all are striving with. One cure can be to hide the good deeds we do, and keep them between us and Allah. On the day of Judgment Three people will be thrown in hell first. They are a martyr, a reciter of Quran, and a wealthy person. When they are asked what their intentions were for doing these deeds, they say to please Allah. Allah whom of course can see their intentions, says that these deeds were rather done to be called courageous for the martyr, the man of knowledge wanted the people to call him a good reciter, and the wealthy wanted to be called generous.

They Are Given Signs In Their Life

The heaviest on the scale of deed on Judgement Day is good manners. Our deeds are not going to be counted as of how many they are. But they are being weighed of sincerity, intention and if salah; the khusho. To have these great qualities we have to kill our ego and think less of ourselves and more of Allah and His Greatness. With our every action. We are nothing and Allah is everything. We need to fully understand whom we are doing it for and why. For instance, often people say, you were given that and that blessing because you deserved it. I don`t understand this as the pure truth. If you have a father that is a millionaire. Obviously when you have a lot of wealth you will live wealthy, with expensive things. If this father has a son, who lends his fathers expensive car and goes on a trip with his friends. Showing off that he can buy this car. He is ascribing the car to himself. The same way, if we are breathing right now, it is not because we have done something amazing in the eyes of Allah, that He is giving us these breaths. Allah has given us this life to test us, to see whom are His submissive slaves, that are patient when he withholds and grateful when He gives. Our vehicle, wealth, children, status, spouse, beauty is given from Allah. He wants to know if we will use it for good or bad. Can you say that Hitler deserved the breaths he was given by Allah, even though he killed so many jews? Can you say that Bush deserved his breath although he started a war against innocent people, just because of 9/11. I`m sure no religion justifies killing innocent people in their scriptures. These leaders were given the position they had because Allah was testing them. Allah gives wealth, livestock, beauty in abundance to people who doesn`t believe in Him. This is a test for them. They are given signs throughout their life to help them turn to Allah, some are put astray even more than before others are guided, even though they have failed sometimes.

We Are Forgiven Because Of Allah`s Rahma, Not Because Of Our Deeds

On judgement Day there will be two men that are going to be questioned in front of Allah. One of them has used all his life to do good deeds and is very proud of himself. As he is given Jannah, he walks were slowly towards his destination. Meanwhile another person has done wrong deeds all his life, and is sentenced to a life in Hell. This person is running towards hell with speed. So Allah stops both and asks them why they walk as they do. The one with great deeds comes in a discussion and says he deserves Jannah because of his good deeds. So Allah says, ok, lets weigh them. This is a person whom has utilized all his life doing good deeds. When his deeds are weighed they don`t even weigh as much as the blessing of the eyesight of one of his eyes. So he is thrown in Hell because he believed in himself rather than Allah`s Mercy. The other person will be asked why he was running so fast. He will answer that he is so ashamed of himself that he didn`t obey any of Allah’s commandments in Dunya so he thinks for himself that, he will at least obey this command, so he hastened for his punishment in Hell. Because of this Allah forgave him and gave him Jannah. Even our Prophet Muhammad pbuh has said, if it wasn`t for Allah’s rahma on him, even he wouldn`t be forgiven his sins. And he pbuh is the perfect of all people. Where do we stand whom disobey Allah and sometimes obey Him.

sitting with poor and fortunate people removes the ego of the heartPraise Can Make Us Forget Our Faults

When shaytan can not make us sin, he makes us waste time or puts self-thoughts in our mind. A man once came to see the Prophet. He wasn`t let in to him at once. Ayesha raa told him pbuh who it was. Prophet Muhammad said: “that is a bad person”. When he came in the Prophet pbuh was even nicer to him than the other people whom are good that he pbuh usually are nice to. So after he had left, the mother of believers, Ayesha raa asked him, why he was so well-treated when he was so bad. He pbuh answered because he could have harmed us by spreading bad stuff about us, through poetry or etc, so to prevent that from happening, he pbuh pleased him by his manners that he went happily. On the contrary there is another hadith that says that those that please other in their face, break their neck, in example make proudness grow in them and therefore destroy their deeds. If we want to praise some people because of their remarkable work, do it in a way that doesn`t make him/her feel proud, but at the same time makes them feel appreciated. When other praise us, it is important that we don`t get blind to what they say either, often it is sugar-coated. If we are sincere to ourselves and evaluate ourselves and know how we really are. Whenever some people praise us, we would actually hate them, because they don`t know us the way we know ourselves. We would rather love those who gently guide us to our faults because then we would find some points that needs improvement. Insight in our own deeds would never allow us to become proud. Knowing that good deeds come from Allah`s guidance and not necessarily because we are worthy of doing them, is also something that helps us keep us humble.

Make Dua In A Language You Understand

It is easy to understand that the more you know what you are reciting the more asr it would have on you. If we keep on reading the salah, without comprehending on the translation, we will not be able to build our khusho, concentration in salah. How can our intentions and our sincerity be on top if we don`t understand what we are saying. Making dua in your own language helps and taking baby-steps to understand what surah`s are saying will help also.

The Opposite Of Each Other

We have discussed that is not the deed itself but the intention behind it, that matters. One hadith that portrays that in a beautiful way is of a man who comes to a place with his camel and wants to pray. He is looking for something to tie his camel to. He doesn`t find it so he makes it himself, to help other that would need the same at this place. Some time after a man comes and sees this thing in the sand, where other might have tied their camel. He is afraid of it hurting some people if they don`t see it while they are passing it. So to save others for the hurt, he takes it out of the ground. Both are given a good deed for what they did, even though they did the opposite of each other. It is because of their intention for the deed was correct.

The Grandest Deed Can Be Rejected

Imagine you want to feed the poor and hungry, but you don`t have that much money. So instead of earning money, you steal from the rich to give to the poor, ala robin hood. Even though the deed is great, and has immense reward in the eyes of Allah, since it is forbidden to steal, you won`t get any reward, but rather bad deeds for it.

Few Points To Reap The Reward

  1. Intention for the deed. You are doing this only for Allah to please Him not so that other will praise you or think good of you.
  2. Avoid praising others. It can develop proudness in them.
  3. Sincerity. Our deeds are weighed not counted. It wouldn`t help to read fifty voluntary prayers if you don`t have any concentration in them. Rather read two with full concentration/khusho.
  4. The blessings in our life are from Allah, we are not given them because we deserve them, but because He will test us. The same way we are tested when He takes something away from us or afflicts us in a trial.
  5. Allah likes the repentant sinner more than those that are arrogant because they have done good deeds.
  6. Without Allah`s guidance and we having a heart that accepts guidance, we can become lost at any time.
  7. Understanding the meaning of the words in salah and supplications increases the sincerity and khusho. Being heedless of what we are reciting does the opposite.
  8. Even though the deed is seen as great, if the means of achieving it is haram, you won`t reap any reward, but rather bad deeds.

My Prayer..

“O Allah, place light in my heart, and on my tongue light, and in my ears light and in my sight light, and above me light, and below me light, and to my right light, and to my left light, and before me light and behind me light. Place in my soul light. Magnify for me light, and amplify for me light. Make for me light and make me a light. O Allah, grant me light, and place light in my nerves, and in my body light and in my blood light and in my hair light and in my skin light.” Ameen
