you-need-allahA summary of a lengthy story that was narrated from Jaabir ibn ‘Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) who said:

A young man of the Ansaar who was called Tha‘labah ibn ‘Abd ar-Rahmaan became Muslim, and he used to serve the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him). He sent him on an errand, and he passed by the door of a man among the Ansaar, where he saw an Ansaari woman doing ghusl. He looked repeatedly at her, after which he became afraid that Revelation would come down to the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), so he went out, fleeing, and came to a mountainous area between Makkah and Madinah, where he hid. The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) missed him for forty days, and these were the days when they said his Lord had forsaken him and was displeased with him, then Jibreel (peace be upon him) came down to the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and said: O Muhammad, your Lord conveys greetings of peace (salaam) to you, and says: The man from your ummah who has fled is in these mountains, seeking refuge with Me from My Fire. The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “O ‘Umar! O Salmaan! Go and bring Tha‘labah ibn ‘Abd ar-Rahmaan to me.” They set out through the streets of Madinah and were met by one of the shepherds of Madinah whose name was Dhufaafah. ‘Umar said to him: O Dhufaafah, do you know anything about a young man in these mountains? Dhufaafah said to him: Perhaps you are looking for the one who is fleeing from Hell? ‘Umar said to him: How do you know that he is fleeing from Hell? He said: Because in the middle of the night he came out to us from these mountains with his hand on his head, saying: Would that You took my soul as You took other souls and my body as You took other bodies, and not expose me on the Day of Judgement! ‘Umar said: He is the one we are looking for. So Dhufaafah set out with them, and in the middle of the night he came out to them from those mountains, with his hand on his head, saying: Would that You took my soul as You took other souls and my body as You took other bodies, and not expose me on the Day of Judgement! ‘Umar went to him and embraced him and (Tha‘labah) said: I want to be safe from the Fire. ‘Umar said to him: I am ‘Umar ibn al-Khattab. He said: O ‘Umar, does the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) know of my sin? He said: All I know is that he remembered you yesterday, and the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) wept. Tha‘labah said: O ‘Umar, do not let me enter upon him except when he is praying, and Bilaal is saying Qad qaamat as-salaah (Prayer is about to begin – i.e., the iqaamah or call immediately preceding the prayer). ‘Umar said: I shall do that. Then they brought him to Madinah and arrived when the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) was praying Fajr. ‘Umar and Salmaan hastened to join the row (of worshippers), and no sooner did Tha‘labah hear the recitation of the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), but he fell unconscious. When the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said the salaam (at the end of the prayer), he said: “O ‘Umar, O Salmaan, what happened to Tha‘labah ibn ‘Abd ar-Rahmaan?” They said: He is over there, O Messenger of Allah. The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stood up and said: “O Tha‘labah!” He said: Here I am, O Messenger of Allah. He looked at him and said: “What kept you away from me?” He said: My sin, O Messenger of Allah. He said: “Shall I not tell you about a verse that will expiate sins and errors?” He said: Yes, O Messenger of Allah. He said: “Say: Allaahumma aatina fi’d-dunya hasanah wa fi’l-aakhirati hasanah wa qinna ‘adhaab an-naar (O Allah! Give us in this world that which is good and in the Hereafter that which is good, and save us from the torment of the Fire) (cf. al-Baqarah 2:201).” He said: My sin is too great, O Messenger of Allah. The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “Rather the word of Allah is greater.” Then the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) instructed him to go home. He fell sick for eight days, then Salmaan came to the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah, do you want to visit Tha‘labah, because he is sick? The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “Let us go to him.” When he entered upon him, the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) took hold of his head and placed it in his lap, but he pulled his head away from the lap of the Messenger of Allah. The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said to him: “Why did you pull your head away from my lap?” He said: Because it is full of sins. He said: “What do you feel?” He said: I feel something like the crawling of ants between my skin and my bones. He said: “What do you long for?” He said: The forgiveness of my Lord. Then Jibreel (peace be upon him) came down to the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and said: Verily your Lord conveys greetings of salaam to you and says: If this slave of Mine were to meet Me with an earthful of sins, I would meet him with a similar measure of forgiveness. The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “Should I not tell him about that?” He said: Yes indeed. So the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) told him about that, and he gave a shout then died. The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) gave instructions that he should be washed and shrouded, and he offered the funeral prayer for him. Then the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) began walking on tiptoe and they said: O Messenger of Allah, why do we see you walking on tiptoe? He said: By the One Who sent me with the truth as a Prophet, I could not put my feet on the ground because of the many wings of the angels who came down to accompany his funeral procession.

coal hand islamMost people talk bad about women that wear hijab. Without lifting an eyebrow about women in their life, who not only doesn`t wear hijab, but also pluck eyebrows and wear perfume. These women, girls are not looked by men with good intentions.

Most people talk bad about women that avoid mix gatherings or places where there is played music. Without lifting an eyebrow about the people who think that music uplifts them. Most of who seek places where they easily can interact with the other gender. This is most people idea of having fun.

Most people backbite women who avoid certain arrangements and tv-channels even if they are for women only. While they don`t mind that many of the places, even at islamic programs, there is a lot of noise and most people are backbiting and many muslims are making fun of others.

Most people talk bad about people who care about what they eat, every ingredients so that they don`t eat anything that is not allowed. They can use a lot of time finding the right restaurant or checking the ingredients in all foods. Or questioning the employee about this. While they care little of those who eat all kinds of meat, and all kinds of food, and never dare to question for a second time if the food actually is halal. Disregarding, caring little for that the food they eat has an impact on their behaviour.

Most people think those who are always speaking the truth, are foolish, because it gets them into trouble. While they don`t care for the fact that the angels doesn`t like to company people who lies.

Most people make fun of many sunnah`s of the Prophet Muhammad pbuh. The sad part is that most of them doesn`t know that making fun of any parts of Islam, can take you/ and your children, further away from it. How can your claim of loving the prophet pbuh be true, while you make fun of his simple life-style.

Most people doesn`t like paying much money, when it comes to learning the deen, attending online courses or buying books. While they can utilize many thousands in buying a new car/ house/ vacation just to impress their friends.

Most people doesn`t get impressed by conduct/ knowledge/ hikmah/ in deen or people who takes practicing Islam seriously. They get impressed by bank-balance, expensive cars, big houses, mobile phones and clothing from expensive brands. Non of which will help them attain jannah.

Instead of looking with disgust at people who are trying to be more practicing, we should actually give these people a break. Today many people say that people force other muslims to practice Islam. Where? As I see it, the community, so-called muslims by name, are making it difficult for practicing muslims, to practice Islam, as it came. Instead of pointing fingers at people you don`t know. Try to understand certain people by what they are avoiding. Maybe we can understand them more after that.

heartbeat Allah, tazkiya, purification of heart, serve AllahCleanliness is important to most of us. Living in 2015, most of us have the basics to keep us clean. The understanding of cleanliness between a muslim and a non-muslim is different. Non-muslims looks for the cleanliness of the body, while we muslims also try to clean the heart and the soul. A non-muslim may take a shower, brush his teeth and put on some perfume and feel clean. For a practicing muslim to feel clean he also would take time to take the ritual shower called ghusl, to clean his soul. He/she would spend time to clean his heart from that which make it become black, like hatred, jealousy, envy and all bad qualities that the heart has to avoid to keep it pure. This fight is constant and is known as jihad, struggle. The struggle with your own self; nafs, to do the right thing, according to Allah`s laws and avoid what Allah has prohibited. This is an ongoing battle 24/7 to put your own desires and wants aside and work for what Allah wants you to do.

Something Is Smelling

People may sit beside some other in the subway, and notice the bad smell of sweat or spices coming from someone. But have they ever thought about the fact that their souls also has a smell. If they abide by Allah`s rules, the soul will have a good smell. If the soul doesn`t abide by Allah`s rules or doesn`t believe in Allah, it will have a foul smell. After our death the angels will comment on our smell according to this. And we will see our deeds in form of a human who is beautiful=good deeds versus ugly=bad deeds and he will stay with us til the Judgment Day. We can`t spend a second with people that we don`t like to be with. How will our time in the grave be in case our deeds are not good. May Allah preserve us and guide us to do good and accept our good deeds and raise our status because of them. Aameen.

Sisterhood, brotherhood, world, earth, united, care jpg

A Message Can Be Sent Instantly

When the righteous pious predecessor, the friends of Allah lived on this earth, there was a time when people spent more time on cleaning their hearts, and there was more love between people. Now we clean our bodies but the heart is full of hatred, jealousy etc, so there is less love between people. Before people would walk days in difficult weather to meet people they cared for. Now we see, the world has become so little, we can send a message that will go instantly to the other side of the world, yet many doesn`t take out time for the people they care for, even if they live in the same town. May Allah increase the sisterhood and brotherhood of the Ummah, that despite our differences we can stand united and help each other. Aameen. Not abandon those who are wrong but gently correct them according to our means.

Clean It From What Does Not Belong There

Of course cleanliness is half of imaan, and we should use time and make an effort to keep ourselves clean. But don`t just stop there. We can also use time to cultivate our qualities as close as we can reach to the level of the sunnah, if we try. Not only polish our skin before an event but also our hearts, to clean it from what does not belong there. Abundance repentance, dhikr of Allah and read durood. If we use more time on this we would also be feeling beautiful, not only  just looking beautiful. May Allah preserve us. Aameen.

khadijahThe first wife of Prophet Muhammad pbuh, Khadijah raa supported him through difficult times in every possible way, including spending from her wealth. He pbuh is known to have acknowledged and praised Khadijah raa`s support repeatedly. Aisha raa reported that she was so irritated by Muhammad pbuh`s continuous praise of Khadijah raa, so she complained, asking why he continued to remember an old lady who was not so beautiful, when God had replaced her with a more beautiful young woman. He pbuh replied that none of his wives was like Khadijah raa, she attested to his nubuwah at a time when everyone else doubted him, she spent her wealth to support him when no one else was willing to do so, and mothered his children which no other wives did.

He pbuh honoured her even after her death, and sent gifts to her friends and relatives. After she passed away on 10th Ramadan, and his uncle passed away sometime after, he pbuh was given the salah as a gift from Allah for comfort, as his biggest source of comfort was now taken away. She was honoured with salam from Allah by hadrat Jibrael as, and promised such a palace in Paradise where she would not experience any noise and live in tranquility because that is what she provided for Prophet Muhammad pbuh, as long as they were married. During the time of prophet Muhammads pbuh `s marriage to Khadijah raa, he was not married to anyone else. She is the only wife whom had that privilege. Amongst men many attained a status of perfection; but among women only three attained such status: Asiyah, the wife of Pharaoh, Maryam, the mother of Isa /Jesus pbuh and Khadijah Bint Khuwaylid raa.

May Allah guide all women from the Ummah to be like khadijah raa to their spouse. And may Allah give the daughthers of the Ummah such a spouse that has the same conduct and character as prophet Muhammad pbuh ❤ Aameen summa aameen.

jannah, paradise, promotion, exams, allahA common quality amongst friends is that they support each other through all kinds of difficult times they experience. Often people help others and usually expect that their favour will be returned some day. Prophet Muhammad pbuh has said that those who doesn`t thank people doesn`t thank Allah so a good way to show your appreciation to Allah is to thank the ones that help you. What kind of circumstance you help another person in, depends on your own taqwa, godfearingness.

You Can Share In The Burden Or The Reward

In Ayat 5:2 in the Quran it is quoted “Help each other in Al-Birr and At-Taqwa; but do not help one another in sin and transgression”. It is not difficult to imagine that if we help some people in committing sins we will share in their burden for every people they wrong and those that learn the cruel tactics from them. Similarly if we help people to do something that is good for the community, we will also share in the reward for all the good that it leads to. It is up to us we want to earn reward or share the way to our destruction.

Be Just In Every Relation

Prophet Muhammad pbuh has said if people see something bad they should try to stop it, either with their hand or speech or at least think of it as something bad, if they are not able to stop it, and that is the weakest of Iman. It is very important that we try our best to be just in all our relations and in between each other. A father being just between his children. Spouses treating their in-laws justly. A husband being just between his spouse and sisters. A wife being just to her parents and siblings. We are human and bound to err sometime, but the best of those who err are those who repent. And then make amends. Whenever we see that we are on the wrong track, simply rectify our actions and change the track to something better. It is not fair that the faults of a mother is passed on to her daughters or a fault of a brother passes on the his siblings. Being just between different relations is not an easy job. One of them may not like you if you take the others side. That is why it is so important to make sure that you know whom is correct and that you are not taking the side of those whom are wrong. Supporting someone who is doing something wrong will increase his confidence and can lead him/her to do worse deeds in the future. If that happens you will have a share in the bad deeds that it leads to, until or if they make amends and come to the straight path.

When We Don`t Stop Injustice

Prophet Muhammad pbuh has said: “Help your brother when he is unjust or the victim of injustice”. The sahaba said: “we understand that we should help people if they are unjust, but how can we help them if they are victim of injustice. Prophet pbuh said: “Prevent and stop him from committing injustice and this represents giving support to him”: Maybe you have heard about some people who lives in a town and the most of them where really bad people. So Allah said to the angels, go and crush the town because of their deeds. The angels went there when they saw some people who were good and was praying to Allah, so they went back to Allah and said: ” how can we crush this town, when there are good people living there”. Allah said: “It is because of this that I want you to crush them as soon as possible. The good people didn`t stop or try to prevent the bad people from doing bad deeds, so I want you to crush them all.

Being Patient With People`s Annoyance

Of course you can imagine if there are only a few good people in a whole town how hard it is for them to stop the others from doing bad deeds, thus even bigger is the reward. Prophet Muhammad pbuh has said: ” The believer who mingles with people and is patient with their annoyance, earns more rewards than the believer who doesn`t mingle with people and does not observe patience with their annoyance.

Don`t Look Down On Those Whom Are Struggling

It is important that when we see other people struggling to avoid sin that we try our best to help them or at least not put more obstacles in their way. We don`t know our end, no one does. Prophet Muhammad has said that was a person whom had taken 99 lives and then repented, and by the Mercy of Allah, he was forgiven. Allah is Merciful and forgives all sins as long as we sincerely repent. Don`t look down on those that are struggling today, there might come a day when those same people will be the ones that help you on your way. So if you are able give them a helping hand, do it. When Allah wants something good for His slave, He helps others through him. Imagine you are sleeping and several good deeds are put in your account for those people you have helped, you don`t even know it. Never belittle a good deed. We don`t have to be rich to give sadqah. One can do that even without any amount of money, that also is sadqah.

Allah Knows And He Rewards

Know that even if people don`t see the good that we do, Allah knows everything, and it is He whom is the only One whom will give us reward. He doesn`t forget. The reward of those who do good is never lost. The struggle is real; Be good, do good, and if you can`t stop others from doing bad, at least think of what they are doing as bad, don`t put hurdles in others way when they are struggling, pray for each other, and help those you can, one day you might need their help. Allah puts us in the most amazing places, sometimes to teach us something, other times to, test our patience. May we pass every test, and may Allah give us barakaa in our lives a good akhirah. Ameen summa ameen.

beauty2We have been taught in a young age through media and magazines that if we are not in a certain color size or shape, no one will like us. If we want to be anything we have to have good looks, regardless of our intelligence. I think it has rather become even worse nowadays, when children at a very young age are so obsessed about their looks and clothing. The media promotes that if you don`t have the right looks, you won`t succeed at all.

Good people are always beautiful
It is not the physical appearance of a person that tells us whether a person is good or not. It is the character. If you meet someone with good looks but cruel of nature, would you like that person? On the other hand, if you meet someone whom is of average looks, but is so easy to talk with and makes you feel comfortable, would you have liked that person? I guess, looks matters only for the first impression, but it doesn`t tell you the truth. Beautiful people aren`t always nice, but nice people regardless of their looks, are always beautiful. Their character shines through their good behaviour.

There is so much more to friendship
When we put a standard of whom we are going to interact with based on the looks of people, we can easily come into a circle of friends that may look great beside you, but are they good, trustable, supportive friends? We cannot make that judgement on those criteria. It is so much more to friendship than that.

Status higher than angels
Why do girls wear make-up? When they feel good about themselves, are happy or because they think they aren`t good enough, compared to others? When do we use perfume? When we are fresh or when we want to hide a foul smell? If we feel good about ourselves regardless of our looks, we will spread good thoughts into the community. If we always feel inadequate because the media or our surrounding tells us that we aren`t good according to their standards, that could break us down, and make us feel quite low. The only way to feel good about oneself, is to develop self-esteem that tells us that we are irreplaceable, one of a kind, a creation of Allah that can achieve a higher status than angels.

What makes you feel beautiful?
We usually feel good when we do good deeds, and bad when we do bad deeds. If we keep giving ourselves positive self-talk about the good that we do, we would increase our feeling of self-esteem. When people feel good about themselves, they don`t need validation from outside. So they don`t need to dress to impress, but they`ll rather dress in a modest way, because they will feel beautiful from the inside. It`s something else to look beautiful and something else to feel beautiful. When we are good and spread goodness, we feel good about ourselves. Not necessarily because we get a good feedback from our surroundings, but because we have realized that if we do what Allah wants us to do, He will be satisfied with us, and there is no better achievement than that. If we do something that angers Allah, His wrath may descend on us and that will make us feel bad and anxious.

love prophet muhammad pbuh

Our teachers are a inspiration
Everyone one of us has a talent in us. It is up to us, our teachers/leaders to cultivate it, and inspire us and motivate us to let it grow and utilize it for our own benefit and for the benefit of the society. We need to teach the children that beauty is not mere looks, but good character. If we help our children/youth increase their self-esteem and sence of self-worth, they won`t let the media control them, because they`ll know that they are one of a kind. When we know our worth we won`t degrade ourselves to let everyone see us, but rather hide our beauty for the one that truly deserves us. If we teach them the value of decent character, they will try to cultivate it. The best example is by our actions. If we lead with good conduct, also the children will feel inspired to the same path. The best feeling is achieved by sincerely doing good deeds and being helpful with what we have capacity to manage. May Allah help us understand what beauty actually is, and make our character a reflection of Prophet Muhammad pbuh`s way of living. Ameen summa ameen.

My Prayer..

“O Allah, place light in my heart, and on my tongue light, and in my ears light and in my sight light, and above me light, and below me light, and to my right light, and to my left light, and before me light and behind me light. Place in my soul light. Magnify for me light, and amplify for me light. Make for me light and make me a light. O Allah, grant me light, and place light in my nerves, and in my body light and in my blood light and in my hair light and in my skin light.” Ameen
