Everyone wants to protect the people they care for. No matter what religion, color, ethnicity you have. You try your best to help, protect, provide for the people you love. If their air is polluted in your city, and your child has allergies or asthma, you will do everything you can to move to a place where he can live a healthy life. If and when we hear about a disease that is spreading because of a virus, almost every family member are eager to help those they love to take a vaccine against it. People are afraid of contagious diseases. When any person is infected with a contagious disease, that person is transferred to a special room in the hospital. Each and every who goes in and out has to wear special clothing. And the things that goes into the room, has to be special cleaned. This is to prevent the disease from spreading to the whole community or town.
The Types Of Diseases Are Many
Some have psychological diseases. Some has physical sickness. Some has sickness in their soul/heart. The last type of sickness, the sickness of the spiritual heart. The place where feelings, emotions take life. Both good and bad. Since we are talking about sickness, I mean feelings like, envy, jealousy, hate, harshness, backbiting, lying, arrogance, making fun of others, looking down on others, slander, etc. Something negative. Since niyah, ikhlas and integrity comes from the spiritual heart. The quality of these three, will affect the disease of the heart. If our heart is diseased, there is no way we will have pure good niyah, ikhlas or integrity. So as being a muslim. If we want Allah to accept our deeds, we have to correct this. Or else no matter how big or gracious deeds we are doing, or people think we are doing, it will be rejected by Allah. What good will it do for us, if the good we do is rejected, in the final account? Ya Allah, grant us to win the struggle of perfectly getting rid of our diseases in our spiritual heart. Aamen.
Choose Good Company And Halal Fun
A spiritual alive heart, who knows the value of spirituality and good behaviour, will not be able to spend time with people who has diseases in their hearts. Their idea of halal fun, differs. A spiritually dead heart, doesn`t mind going to places where he / she can do more sins, like backbiting, lying, slander, vicious tongue, chugl khaur, etc. The heart is dead meaning, these sins doesn`t seem bad. They have fun doing these sins. It`s darkening their heart making it black. On the other side, we have a heart who is spiritually alive, he / she is aware of the effects of sins on their life. They want to make sure that the fun they are doing is actually allowed in Islam. Doing sins, that increase your punishments, is not funny. But rather doing deeds that make their ranks raised in this world and the next, is fun. In other words, when these people step out of their house, towards work or school or any event, they will do the background check, how can I spend my day, doing the right matters, correctly, and also be in constant struggle of correcting myself in the process, because I really want to earn those rewards, without them being rejected. So someone they know, invites them to an event. They will ask for the details. Will there be music there? Will there be a mix gathering between the genders? What is the dress code of the event? hijabi or non-hijabi? What kind of people are attending? Sinners or practising muslims? Will there be halal food? Where is it? How will I be able to get there safely, while also in hijab? From these questions one can imagine, these people doesn`t play with their life. Going on an event, where they might commit sins, is a big issue. They do not want to increase in sins. These people are serious about where they want to spend their eternity. Spending time with people who has diseases in the heart can be very contagious. And it does have an effect on our lives. That is why it is so important to help oneself, to only attend events , where these matters shouldn`t be any issue. There is a reason why Allah has said, that the majority of people in hell-fire will be women. One of the reason is the sins of the tongue. We who have been raised in this community, knows how fast any information travels, before the entire community is talking about it. In other words. We aren`t doing enough when it comes to increasing the healthy-ness of our spiritual heart. How can we explain how fast the whole community knows something, if we muslims in the community weren`t backbiters? If we were obeying Allah and protecting ourself from the sins of the tongue, the info would have died a permanent death, with the first who heard it. Instead the reality is that everyone knows it, within in day.
An Act Of Worship With Highest Reward And Acceptance
If and when we are able to correct our niyah, ikhlas, quality of deed, our deeds will be rewarded and accepted with the highest rewards. No matter how little the deed is. Our intention will be to do every deed for the sake of Allah. I will please my spouse for the sake of Allah. I will fulfil my duties towards my children for the sake of Allah. I will work with integrity at my school and work, for the sake of Allah. I will be good to neighbours, to strangers, to kin for the sake of Allah. I will be good to animals for the sake of Allah. I will help the community for the sake of Allah. When we are able to have these kinds of intentions, Allah isn`t stingy in rewarding us. Allah, has made us because he wants us to come back to Him in a good obedient way. When we are doing good deeds with right intentions and ikhlas, the same right intention and ikhlas will protect us from doing bad deeds. I am not going to lie, because Allah dislikes dishonesty. I am not going to backbite, because Allah dislikes eating your own brothers flesh. I am not going to be selfish and only think about myself. I am not going to slander other people. I am not going to help a marriage break. I am not going to only think about my rights, but I will balance that with also thinking about my duties. If and when we are able to correct ourselves by helping our spirituality to grow, every deed of our conduct, will become an act of worship. Because the intention and sincerity is correct. We aren`t only in the state of ibadah when we are in salah, but also when we are good to our spouse, take care of our children, fulfil our duties for the sake of pleasing Allah. Even that day our spouse is angry at us, we dig in our goodwill, to be good to him / her. I know how difficult fitnah is for a man when he steps out of the house, I will make sure I please my husband sufficiently every day. I know my wife, has had a tough day, I will make dinner for her today. Our parents get angry at us because of their old age, trying to practice sabr with them. My teen is giving my a hard time, maybe he /she is need of more positive attention. When we feed our spiritual heart with Allah`s remembrance our goodwill increases, and we are able to do more for Allah`s Creation. We want to please Allah, to gain Allahs love and because we want to thank Him. Allah has said, You have not thanked me, if you haven`t thanked people. So when we are grateful to others, because we have so many matters we have been helped, we are thanking Allah. And Allah will love us more. And a true alive spiritual heart, wants Allah`s love. When we do good deeds to please Allah and thank Him, He loves us and make the good righteous, also love us. There is no better validation of being a good person, than that the Creator of everything in this Universe, is saying, that He loves you. Ya Allah, make us of those You love. Ya Allah make us of those Hazoor Paak pbuh loves. Ya Allah make us of those, hadrat Jibreel alayhisalam loves. Aamen. Ya Allah, grant us to win the struggle of purifying our hearts from the diseases it has, with tawbah and repentance and shining it up with dhikr of You, every day. Aamen. Ya Allah grant us to win the struggle of correcting our niyah, ikhlas and quality of every deed, so every deed of our conduct is filled with sunnah and becomes an act of worship, which You, Allah accept with the highest rewards and acceptance. Aamen. Grant this to me, my family, my friends, and all ummati, till the end of time. Grant us to win the struggle of perfecting the quality of the purity of our heart, of our soul, of our deeds, of our speech, of our thoughts, of our conduct all the time. Aamen summa aamen.
