In Ramadan at the end of the day big aftari`s awaits us. Even though we have restricted ourself during the day, we have abundance of food, when it is time to open the fast. The fast gives us an idea of how it is for those individuals whom doesn`t have as much as us. How does it feel when you don`t have enough for the essentials? Muslims fast for one month, though because of poor conditions some people can`t eat for several month`s. Can we imagine to be fasting all day, but not have the minimum nourishing food to eat at the end of the day. Going day by day listening to kids when they complain that they have a stomach ache because they are too hungry. One thing is that oneself is suffering but when one sees these poor angels suffering, that is unbearable and hurts. It hurts for others but it hurts the most for their parents. Seeing one child suffering, without being able to take the suffering away, is indeed devastating.
We have a choice to refrain from food
Not everyone has that. In some countries there are people whom would want to have the minimum to survive and earn their own money, have a family and live in security with them but they aren`t able because of the situation there. Are we able to imagine when there is fight for the food that is given to some people and only those who are strong enough are able to get the survival kit of food for a week or so.
They Have The Abilities But Not The Support
Most people want to earn the halal way for their family`s to provide for them. Here in Norway there are a few people who dies out of hunger, because the country takes care of all of it`s citizens even for those whom can`t provide for themselves. Back home most of the population of Pakistan are young adults. They have the education, but because of the system, they are not able to get hired without anyone put in a good word for them. Even though they might have the abilities and great results from the university, most of them have to work in underpaid jobs. They have the potential but aren`t given the chances because they doesn`t have the means.
Tension Is Increasing
When the youth aren`t given enough chances to do good work according to their abilities of course a lot of tension erupts. Their opinions doesn`t matter and they are easily oppressed. If some people in such a country wants to live in a halal matter, it becomes quite difficult. Imagine being somewhere where you can`t get documents from an office because they are asking for bribes. Unless you don`t pay them money that will go into their own pockets, they won`t do your work. Because of the inflation, ordinary people can`t afford the bare minimum to have a nutritous meal. There is not enough security for the families that lives there. Innocent people are killed and innocent people are jailed because of some crime some others have done. The people are deprived from their basic needs to keep them oppressed and diverted from doing something about how the country is ruled and their money utilized. Because of the cancer in the system of the country and the governments lack of control over the situation or willingness to do anything, people`s difficulties are increasing. The youths displeasure is increasing. Nothing can be done without eliminating the corruption in the system.
The Leaders Will Have A Tougher Questioning.
Because they are responsible for their people`s need. The population is oppressed by the government for the essential to live a good life, like food, clothing, house, electricity, fuel for vehicles, security to prevent them to climb to the fifth row, see picture. They are keeping the people suffering so they don`t fight against the government. This has been going on for years. Roti/kapda/makan. The leaders are not taking care of their people? There was a time in the Khalifat of the hadrat Umar raa, when he used to go around at night to see if anyone was suffering under his leadership. When he was asked about it, he said that even if one dog goes to sleep hungry, I will be answerable to Allah about it. What will then happen to a leader where most of his people are suffering. Does this not scare them? Or do they not believe in the hereafter? We all are going to be questioned about our life. The leader has a responsibility not only for their own but also for their people, and their questioning is going to be far more harsh. One day we are all going to stand in front of our Creator. Before we even stand for election, ask yourself are you compassionate about the people you are going to lead. If you don`t have the motivation to help them or guide them to success and reduce their sufferings, the job was never made for you. When the leaders will be compassionate for their people, only then will people be satisfied with them. May Allah help the ummah and ease their sufferings. Aameen summa aameen.
