People seldom talk about struggles

Have you ever seen other people struggle and felt more human? Often times people want to show their better side. So they hide their struggles. Few people speak about their struggles. Today I want to share something that made my life easier. Maybe my story can help you? I want to share this as ongoing charity for my mother who has gone back to Allah. May Allah grant her highest paradise and accept her as a shaheda aamen

Benefits with health and beyond

It was my first session with my PT, and I was expecting some real hard squads, deadlifts or benchpress. Instead he sat down with me and started to make a exercise plan. It took us two sessions. In the second session we talked about foods and healthy diet, and he was sure I would have health benefits with intermittent fasting. I stopped fasting for over a decade ago. My health didnt`t allow me. Since this fasting is different than the muslim fasting, I thought I would give it a try. What I found out about my body, was incredible motivating for my life in generell and fitness journey and also my spirituality as a muslim.

I thought this can change my life

Intermittent fasting is to fast a certain hours from after last meal to a late breakfast. How long the window of eating or fasting is, depends on the health of the one who is fasting. After a day or two of these fasts I could feel a big change in how my mind was working. My bloodsugar was stable, my “head fog” was gone, my concentration was good, increased mindfulness, increased calmness, inscreased sabr (patience). It changed me totally 180 degrees. Subhan Allah! I will not lie. I did this for health benefits, and still i found benefits for me spiritually and in my whole life. So I thought if this fast can change me so much, than ma sha Allah the ordinary fasting in Islam, is the best diet for the body, mind and soul. Indeed that is a good way of cleaning the body for it to function better for the rest of the year.

Good wishes for shaban

So if you are struggling and your health is not allowing you to fast, than intermittent fasting can be a solution, and you can still have some of the benefits of fasting. Wishing you a shaban and ramadan of khair, sakina and baraqa aamen.
