Allah has given us so many opportunities to ask of Him, and we don`t even utilize them. Just think where it could lead us if we knew of every such opportunity? Each and every want their supplications to be answered, but when is the most auspicious time to make dua? It happens every night at tahajjud time. Yes every night, so seize this opportunity as much as you can. Especially now that the nights are so long it shouldn`t be any problem to stand up for prayer at night.
Sheikh Yasir Qadhi has said: “If you want something in your life and you aren`t reading tahajjud for it, than in reality you don`t really want it”. This should motivate us to supplicate at the most Heard time of the night in sha Allah. In night there is an hour that supplications are answered. It was narrated from Abu Sufyan Ra that Jabir Ra said>: ” I heard the Prophet (pbuh) say:
” In the night there is an hour when if a muslim asks Allah for good in this world and in the Hereafter, He will give him it, and that happens every night.” (Sahih Muslim)
So no more waiting for only fridays to make special supplications at the one hour before magribh 😉 This is a gift to us from Allah that I hope we can try to make the best of in sha Allah, ameen.
Also the Prophet (pbuh) has mentioned that rakats are of two and two at the night prayer. And read the witr at the end if you know you will stand up for night prayer, if not than you should read it at the beginning of the night. The special time begins at the last third of the night: It was narrated from Abu Hurairah Ra that the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said:
“Our Lord, May He be blessed and exalted, comes down to the lowest heaven every night when the last third (2/3) of the night is left, and He says : ” Who will call upon Me, that I may answer him? Who will ask of Me, that I may give him? Who will ask Me for forgiveness, that I may forgive him? “.
There is no better time to ask Allah than in this hour in sha Allah. May Allah make us of those that read tahajjud every night and may Allah make us His pious worshippers, May Allah keep us steadfast on the deen and guidance and give us the best in this world and the Hereafter, ameen summa ameen. Remember me and the whole Ummah in your humble prayers in sha Allah.
