Yup it`s confirmed. Give me some paper and i`ll sign it right away. What am I babbling about you would ask? Here is the answer: I sort of get so annoyed when I think about some of the bad company some people have. And they don’t do anything about it at all. I mean I would rather have none friends than to have so called friends who try to make me unhappy or influence me into making decisions that aren`t good for me. I`ve seen it so many times now, that today I`m really ticked off. I don’t have many friends but for me true meaning of friendship is being there for each other no matter what, and standing up for your friends in their days of need, giving your best advice to make their difficulties less difficult and listening to them. For God`s sake people look around you 🙂 you do have a lot of wonderful friends but just leave the people who try to misguide you behind! And continue the friendships with people who know you and wants what`s best for you!

And for the people who try to misguide others: Allah apko hidayat ata karein. Ameen sum ameen.

I`ve heard a saying that goes something like

if you want to hear the truth ask the kids because you`ll get a lot of it from them

..without censor.. There`s something about this that catches my mind. Everything just gets out of their mouth without them thinking it through. This has led me to the conclusion that there has come a change between the kids that grew up before and the ones that are being brought up nowadays. I feel kids have lost their innocence. Sometimes they talk about stuff that I never even knew about when I was at their age. Although I must admit my childhood was quite protected, being the youngest sibling. Anyway the kids learn a lot at school but I reckon it’s the media that has most of their attention, internet and especially television telling the kids everything from A to Z about everything…

Maybe I`m a bit old fashioned when I say that I wish we could protect the kids more than we do. I think the parents should not let the kids watch too much television or sit on the net all by themselves. The parents should know what the children`s are watching and not let the media take over the upbringing but have the total control in their own hand. If I could influence the parents I would say never let the kids sit alone on the net or watch television without you knowing anything about the program. Be strict and become their inspiration in doing outdoor activities by setting a good example. Occupy them with healthy habits from the start, like reading books or different kinds of exercises to trim their mind as well. Just take a trip to the bookstore nearby and see if you can find something useful.

I believe it`s the values your parents have injected in you as you grew up and after you`ve grown up it`s mostly the people you hang with. Your friends! If you have good friends that have the right values, believe me YOU are saved! Or if you have enough insight in seeing who`s your real friend and who isn`t. What kind of friends you have says a lot about you as a person. What I`ve always heard from my parents is that “aap apne doston se pehchanein jaate hain” . If you`re seen around with a friend that is known as nice, people will think that you are as he is, cause he is your friend. On the contrary, are you seen with someone who doesn`t have the right values, people will think the same about you. A bad friend will give you the inside scoop on how he managed to do so well in being bad and getting away with it. Please look around. Are your friends giving you good advice? Or messing up your life more than before? You do have a choice to stay positive no matter what. Though people we spend time with mostly our friends have great impact on us and our personality.

Make sure you have people around you with good values.. 🙂

turbanI remember that I read a little story from a book some time ago. And when I think about it I sort of get so amazed about how true it really is. It`s all about the pressure a person can experience when a lot of people get together against that person in a way. It`s a tale about a famous Spanish businessman:

There was competition between him and four other businessmen. Since the others disliked him they wanted to make him angry in some way. One day he was on his way to work wearing a white t-shirt and a white turban. When he first met one of the businessmen on his way he praised his turban by saying: what a nice yellow turban this is. They had a discussion about the color and the businessman went further on his way to work when he met the second businessman. He greeted the businessman and praised the turban by being green. The Businessman had another discussion over the color as he knew it was white. When he came to his shop the third businessman came and praised his turban to be blue. All of the three said that the important thing is not the color but that it looks good. While sitting at the shop the businessman thought about all the comments when the fourth businessmen came and praised his turban for being red. This ticked the businessmen and he lost his mind.
Every time the other person notices his turban they always complement it with another color than the white one which is the real color of it. The guy gets crazy and can`t get why the others can`t see the white color. The other people are of course lying but they are so convincing that it makes him crazy. So a lie camouflaged in words that are serious can seem truer than truth itself??? This is really scary to think about… What happened to the thought that truth always prevails???

This shows how much the severe pressure from our surroundings could really hurt us in a way that could to a certain extent make us more or less insane. Just think about the enormous pressure kids and even adult experience nowadays.

Second thought: If you can tell me one thing: what do one do after one has seen through people who act like this??? That tries to hurt you by using group tactics like? I`m talking about these people and I`m sure that one can find them everywhere.

My Prayer..

“O Allah, place light in my heart, and on my tongue light, and in my ears light and in my sight light, and above me light, and below me light, and to my right light, and to my left light, and before me light and behind me light. Place in my soul light. Magnify for me light, and amplify for me light. Make for me light and make me a light. O Allah, grant me light, and place light in my nerves, and in my body light and in my blood light and in my hair light and in my skin light.” Ameen
